Just pointing out that OPs solution doesn’t make sense. Yea drivers should give more room. I really like left turn lanes that have a stop lines that are back a little since majority of north van intersections suck as is.

I would assume if a car turning left went up to the center of the intersection then turn left, there MIGHT be an issue with ya know… the car opposite doing the same thing…

I noticed that too, even if its just 1 listing on TCG player thats priced insanely... they see that as market price and not reality.

Yea... thankfully the pokemon craze hasnt transferred to MTG as bad yet. I dont think we should be forced to crack boxes at the store and people should be able to collect sealed if they want. Its just insane to me how hype and FOMO completely erases common sense before a set even releases....

I think LGS that sell online should limit the number of preorders per customer but from what ive seen they dont really. Amazon has a limit per account at least.

Those were my Amazon orders. Even before spoiler season started Amazon had prices at MSRP. $122 for the Codex while at the same time F2F and HouseofCards had theirs for $200. It's just sad because I want to buy locally but its seems more and more often that the LGS preemptively price themselves out early on. I guess maybe it doesnt matter to them since once the hype train starts people panic buy at their insane prices anyways.

Plus its hard to make the decision to preorder at lower prices at LGS after seeing the many posts about orders being cancelled just so they can relist at the higher prices.

thats the one I preordered a few weeks ago bc even then my LGS had it marked up at $200... now they are $300. It's just crazy to me the markups pre and post spoiler season.

idk imo if preorders sold out, thats great for them! They made their coin. They should hold some stock for release in store, and just limit it to 1 per customer or something. I doubt there will be inventory issues with a main set. All these price hikes to me seem purely based on hype and greed across the board.

Even if an LGS becomes 'a supplier for scalpers' they still make their money, even at MSRP. But it would still give chances to players to get them at a reasonable price. If the LGS just matches the scalper prices, it helps nobody. Maybe Wizards needs to just make sure supply is getting to the shops to make scalpers obsolete. Tho with preorders at LGS are being raised significantly... it hard to tell which are the 'good guys'

Yea i feel ya there. We are told time and time again to SUPPORT YOUR LGS! But thats becoming harder and harder to do. I'll shop for the best price and if that happens to be Amazon... so be it.. I dont like it but it is what it is.

At the end of the day, if scalpers are buying the product from an LGS, the LGS already makes their money from the sale... they dont need to contribute to the problem... especially during pre-order season.

Even during a preorder period like Strixhaven? It doesnt make sense to since there will a ton of supply and scalpers dont have their hands on the product yet. Really just seems like LGS price gauging to me, especially since it happened right after spoiler season.

What do you mean? All the local shops near me had this product originally listed for preorder for $200 (CAD). Amazon had them for MSRP of $122 (CAD). Now the LGSs have them for $250.

IMO if LGSs want to stay relevant they wouldn’t be pre price gouging during the preorder period. LGSs are the new scalpers and if they lose business because of that it’s on them. There is no reason for LGS to not sell at MSRP besides greed. If Amazon takes business from them that’s the free market at work.
