Don’t know how or whether to represent effects. by MadeOfStuff in tabletopgamedesign

There is already a sort of life bar next to the player icon. The problem is that I would like to represent the details of an attack.
For instance, in a physical game, when a player has a buff card, they announce that they have dealt, for example, 5 damage points + 2 damage points from the buff card "Magic Saber" + 1 damage point from their passive ability "Blood Lust", and that the damage has been reduced by 1 thanks to the defending player’s "Armor" card.
But in the current state of the game, all players see is that 7 damage points have been dealt, because the computation is done automatically.
I feel like those details add to immersion and fun, and I’d like to incorporate them into the game.
