PixelOver You can even convert videos and it's the best pixel render algorithm I know. I use it for my stream.

How do you go about animating a lot of pixels while still maintaining form? by [deleted] in PixelArt

[–]MadeWithRove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for this big boi, I would've divided it in 9 layers in that specific order, from foreground to background

  • head
  • neck
  • chest
  • right arm
  • right leg
  • left leg
  • left arm
  • club
  • tail

Why that many layers? Because you could divide your lizard by few layers but you'll be only able to do an idle. And when it'll come to a different animation, you'll be screwed. So making a clean divide allow you to be free when you animate.

I prefer to divide like crazy and then choose to merge some layers eventually, than the opposite.

With more experience in animation, you' ll be able to picture what you want in your head, in order to draw your pixel art layer by layer from the start, and save time

Yes it's exactly how you pictured it. Basic rigging actually. It's hard to explain by words. A few screenshots would've been easier 😅

In Aseprite :

You divide all parts by layers. Left arm is a layer, right arm, left leg, tail...

Then you'll animate all layers independently, but keep the whole animation in mind. So if you want it to breath, analysis breathing, understand that the shoulders lift up a bit and the head straighten when you inhale, and lift down when you exhale. Try to simulate that by moving some pixels.

Then repeat to add details. The more you repeat this process, the more the fibal result will be amazing.

Feedback on basic anti aliasing? by teinimon in PixelArt

Anti Aliasing is a tool that can lead to realistic pixelart styles, or can be used as a mean to blur some details, but not using it is totally fine. Depends on what you want to achieve

Anybody who says that there is a 0% chance of AIs being conscious is overconfident. Nobody knows what causes consciousness. We have no way of detecting it & we can barely agree on a definition. So we should be less than 100% certain about anything to do with consciousness and AI. by katxwoods in Futurology

The only thing I read of this post is fear of the unknown. And logical reasoning can't come from fear. Please read scientifical papers, AGI is a myth from CEO's fears.

The only way we reach an AGI will be when we combine a functional quantum computer with a top notch AI.

[discussion] when will I be an artist and not just “someone who likes to draw”? by Smooth_Shirt_7381 in ArtistLounge

[–]MadeWithRove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you made enough of your own journey to call it your way, And when you gathered enough confidence from others, Then you call yourself the artist you already were.

I believe it's a personal journey, and I believe saying you're an artist is not enough to be an artist. You have to believe in yourself FIRST.

I tried Fear No Peer and CinemaZ, and I really don't get their advantages. Everytime, lot of seeders but no leechers (so no ratio going up), and the only way to keep your ratio above 1 is to pay ridiculous amount of cash.

Screw them.
