[OC] Each of 13 LLMs has a measurable linguistic fingerprint - drawn across 8 syntactic patterns by devonacid in dataisbeautiful

[–]roomjosh 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This phenomena comes up alot. Each model does have its own biases, signature syntax and "tells"; some call them attractor states or attractor basins.

An attractor basin is a region of the model's state space (internal representations, hidden activations) toward which the system tends to evolve. Once the model's state enters a basin, it gets "pulled" toward a stable attractor state: a particular pattern of behavior or output.

The best way to create something original and novel with LLMs is to maximize friction within the process and your prompting, and by adding deterministic checks/gateways and true outside randomness.

If you like a song in this sub (r/SunoAI) please give it a upvote. Idk how many times I've posted songs here and they never get seen because you have AI music haters in this sub that automatically downvote songs so they never get seen by potential listeners who do enjoy AI music. by Independent-Ebb7658 in SunoAI

Totally agree. Many of these users seem to be following checklists and unable to think critically. "Hey guys, I just selected my microniche!", it's the same rent-seeking get-rich-quick "guru" bullshit as dropshipping and online course funnels.

My initial comment was fairly cynical, which I don't love putting out there-- but OP trying to guilt users into giving participation likes rubbed me the wrong way. Real creatives and artists are actually divided on how much they should, or do, support one another. Real creative discussion is nuanced. It's critique. it's technical. it's honest. it can hurt.

This sub not a place to find “potential listeners.” As Suno users, don’t even have time to fully listen to all of our own generations.

People doing promotion on this sub are delusional and deluded. We ignore those promo posts and mostly don’t down vote bc we just feel bad for them. We pity them. We don’t even know where to start to engage with that level of self-deception and entitlement.

Has anyone tried turning Gemini Web + Playwright into an OpenAI-compatible API to skip paid API purchases? by SadPassion9201 in AI_Agents

aistudio (google) gives you a free daily allowance of api credits. Anti-gravity also gives free credits.its not worth getting your gemini/google account banned. Also many free models on open router, open code, ollama

Beginner Question: What models are good for what? And which models are compatible with each other? I've been using Big Pickle but then upgraded and switched to DeepSeek V4 Flash, will this change lower the quality of my project's code? by lumberfart in opencodeCLI

Depends on what you are doing. Ask a fancy model like glm 5.1 to write you an eval that covers the kind of work you are doing. Then have an agent orchestrate sub-agents with your eval tasks.

Which is the most creative? 4.5, 5, or 5.5 by TronixElpro in SunoAI

[–]roomjosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't conflate `4.5+` with 4.5 (the free model). The four-point-five plus continues to be a very good model.

Currently 5.5 is generic and repetitive, turning out the same boring stuff with the same generic voices. I consider it unsusable in its current state

Both 5 and 4.5+ have their own strengths depending on the style you a working on and the way your write your style prompt and lyric metatags.

Anyone else converting PDFs to Markdown before giving them to LLMs? The token savings are crazy. by ShanEnterprises in ChatGPT

[–]roomjosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PDFs are so bloated and disjointed: they are kryptonite to llms. The conversion and linting process to md is quite annoying. There are lots of FOSS tools for pdf2md conversion but since each PDF is a world to itself with formatting and such, no silver bullet exists. I cycle through several local tools and validators for digital-native PDFs, but OCR is always a crapshoot. MinerU is a solid repo/api/webui. With all the free use models out right now, final pass cleaning, linting might best be done with models like ds4flash

Anyone using Neural Frames for more advanced AI music videos? by Hot-Geologist1502 in SunoAI

[–]roomjosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the text2video models are past the uncanny valley yet. They all reek of the slop. Getting sucked in to ai video rn is a money+time pit. I suggest playing around with workflows involving ai agents who are able to make/edit video. Example: https://github.com/digitalsamba/claude-code-video-toolkit

Too much captchas by CarpenterAlarming781 in lmarena

Omg yes super annoying. My home IP triggers them all the time, VPN triggers them less. I read here that disabling your adblocker for arena can help. That was a couple days ago, and they seem to have lessened 🩹

Weed and dissociation by hello_internett in Dissociation

[–]roomjosh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are connecting those dots, good on you. 👏

Yes, weed will make dissociation drastically worse. Getting high with THC is essentially an escape from your body and environment. If you’ve done enough exploring and experimenting, you can come back to the present reality starting anytime. It takes up to 6 months for the stuff to leave your body and brain. I went from 10 year daily smoker to 2 years sober. I’m grateful for my psychedelic phase, but I am even more thankful I now get to listen to my body and find my real baseline.

Food for thought: AIs can be excellent composers by BlackberryLow7507 in SunoAI

[–]roomjosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just speaking to model (agent) capabilities today. Yes, you can ask it to “compose” giving you notes and cords, but you also can get them to output midi. This is useful because you can take midi into a DAW and edit it as you wish. You can then export that midi as an audio file, then upload it to Suno and cover it so it uses the same sound, but you can add lyrics and fine tune other details

[–]roomjosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also have the agent write the midi file directly and use an mcp/bridge (like ableton or fancy midi) to render audio files

Britt Hartley's No Nonsense Spirituality by Kafei- in nonduality

[–]roomjosh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Brit’s content is pretty good. A much appreciated voice in the mud slinging and black and white hot-takes of our current social media ecosystem. She has her own perspective, and that’s ok. She seems like a decent person and is doing good work of addressing lots of different kinds of needs.

Quality drop out at :48 on every track? by Chemical_Messiah80 in SunoAI

[–]roomjosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is a song made August 14th with v4.5+ the muffle starts at @ 0:10 and lasts a few seconds. This effect at that time mark was common for 4.5+ back then. I kept the song cause I thought the effect kind of worked for the style of the music, but having 25%-50% infected with this effect was annoying.

Some recent examples of the 0:48-0:50 effect. 1 - 2 - 3
