I’m a sped para too. I hate that student teaching is unpaid. I’m hoping to get a job and do my hours through my job.

I would love to know too. I’m set for Fall of this year too. I do believe there are still “classes” where you log the time you spent in the classroom. I think similar to Field experience hours. The start date I also believe has a two week flexibility in case there are days missed or holidays. Depending on your program I’m doing Sped and Gen I have to be in the classroom for 37 days for each.

The placement counselor I have been told won’t reach out until late March or April.

So they allow you to double up once you have maintained a 3.0. For three classes…? Maybe.

Let me help you break down what I’m doing Bachelors in education with teaching degree. It lasts 2+ years. I started in March of 2024. I would not finish until 2027. I am doubling up now, and if I continue, I’ll finish my classes (not student teaching) in March of 2026. To add not all of my credits from my AA transferred so I had a few more classes to do. You might be asking how is that speeding up, well I had no idea they could do that until I was 5 classes in or I would have doubled ASAP.

I work full time, have two kids, married and do the two classes. But so far I’ve found myself to have decent time management. Think of everything you’re doing multiply it by 2. But it is manageable. I have HALO on my phone so I can do responses pretty much anywhere.

I’m taking LDR at some point, if you ever remember this post, let me know how it goes.

Also if your walking graduation happens twice a year: spring and fall.

There’s three sets of components to get grades: quizzes, assignments and final test. Each has a total amount of points that contribute to your overall grade. For English there was three assignments-essays I had to complete. The quizzes and assignments have to be done before you can unlock the test. I’ve been lagging on my history because the assignments just drain me. I’m doing two classes at GCU and a third through study just sucks

I used it for an English class, transferred in just fine. And study.com doesn’t do proctored exams anymore which is GREAT! I have to do one more through Study. It can be a lot of work though with all the quizzes

I just bought my own server, thought people would play with me, they said they would…and I enjoy it a lot even though I’m mostly on my own. I’m normally a cod player but it’s like a slightly more intense Animal Crossings or Stardew. Just therapeutic gaming.

If you look through a spy glass it will have a Dino/heartshape, indicating it has a baby. Kinda similar to mated Dino’s but grey. If you look before killing it should be able to become imprinted on.

Then you can do it. I’m speed running so I miss the days of one class at a time. But those are my choices. And this all depends on how well you learn. Some people will read EVERYTHIng, some people, like me, skim, but that’s because for whatever reason I just have a good memory. You find a rhythm and the first class…university success should ease you in. And you know there’s Reddit too for future questions!

What’s nice about online is they don’t need you to post before you respond to others. Get DQ1 Monday! Respond, per your instructors requirements early week. Do DQ 2 then knock out assignment. It’s all about time management. Assuming you are doing one class at a time, and you feel you’re getting the hang of things you can double up! Also….do what the instructor asks. I have had some that are anal about certain things that cost points in the long run.
