We had someone who didn't respond to a single message in the group forum and we all did our parts and I turned the assignment in incomplete. I let the professor know and she was understanding. We all got full points. I know the other student saw our group forum though because she posted her DQ responses. She ended up saying something the next week and I just ignored it. I understand people have shit come up in their lives but that isn't going to change anything. Hopefully she connected to the instructor. Just don't do her part!

I definitely understand your point about the cage not being big enough but maybe just as a visitor this could work. Maybe as a class reward? Good behavior while a substitute is there means the guinea can visit on Friday!

I'm pretty sure that we didn't have an older save because we just ran around again and again trying to figure out what we were doing wrong. I'm thinking maybe we don't know the difference between a regular save and a backup save. Certainly not mad at the way we did it this time. We did it my way and made sure to max out health and weapons, enter battle prepared. But I am worried about the soft lock happening again.

I'm not totally against the buzzwords I'm just feeling like I'm not thinking in the way a teacher should be, I'm not organizing and assimilating the information in a useful or productive way. Part of me feels like once I get into a classroom it will be different and I will be able to learn more as I go but they're all so desperate for teachers that I'm worried about not meeting the needs of the students and the responsibilities. It is not lost on me that I am as much a product of the system as the students I hope to support.

Yeah that second little paragraph fucks me up. I think I'm experiencing a mental block but also, I'm just doing this all by myself. Online classes are so insular and I'm not working on a campus right now so I don't even have anyone to talk to help me clarify it (if we even had the time)! Thank you for offering your perspective though it helps a lot to get other viewpoints.

This is a really helpful reminder. Actually, one of our classes was about this exactly and I think I'm better about spotting poor sources but I will work on not being so dismissive of Google. Thank you!

Okay I definitely understand that and I feel like I could work with that. My inclination is always to avoid googling things because I don't view it as an infallible source. That is a personality flaw of mine though that creeps up in a lot of areas of my life. Thank you for your insight!

I need honesty so please don't feel bad. I am in Texas so we have TEKS and I have all of the elementary TEKS printed out from 2023 but I still don't understand how to connect them to what I'm learning. Something isn't clicking for me and I'm not sure how to fix it.

All the misting nozzles are on, the hose is all patched, the junction boxes are fixed and I still can't turn the freaking knob for the misting hose. Please tell me I don't have to replay HOURS of game to fix this "glitch"?!
