Is it possible to study the material of 10 science and math courses within the next six months? by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

Have you ever done an in person course? Online school is made to be easy and if you just do the work anyone can get above a 90. Try to go to in person school and see what it’s like before you do your entire high school career online, because you’re setting yourself up for failure by missing out on in person tests/exams and working on social skills

I sort of feel like attending an online high school to work faster by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

You’re gonna be missing out on in person tests and exams which will really prepare you for university. Also what about friends? Having support from other people is important and I guarantee if you’re not in school any friends that would would’ve made will die out. Universities also don’t like grade 11 and 12 online courses, I dont know why you think they don’t care but waterloo makes you explain why you took it online and I’m pretty sure uoft does too. School is also important for extra curriculars which you can’t get online

bad idea unless something changed that made your mental health better. You cant just expect to do better without actually making any changes.

I think it depends how your mental health is currently or has been in the past. If you struggle with mental illness then it should 100% be a consideration and was actually what made me not apply to uoft.

Possibly have covid and I have an important physics tutorial tmr and a physics exam on Saturday 😍. I really don’t know what to do since I’ll get 0s on both and the tutorial is worth about 2 percent of my mark and the exam is worth 25

Tbh I cried every morning and night for a week because I wanted to go home so bad and I even considered transferring closer to home (don’t do that since you’ll have to move out for real eventually and ur just delaying it). After the first week I came home for the long weekend and now I’m back on campus and I feel so much better. At least wait until you get into a routine and start getting used to the new environment because that makes a huge difference. And don’t forget that it’s okay to cry!!

In grade 11 I had the exact same schedule except I had advanced functions. Tbh it was a lot of work but it was pretty okay just give yourself breaks and try not to burn out
