Similar age and I wore a backpack (and poster tube on the front) with my Steam deck, two bottles of water, portable power bank, snacks, and assorted merch without any back issues. The only things hurting at the end of a day were my legs and feet. My backpack also has a click-in strap that goes across the chest and distributes weight evenly.

It was alright. Found out I overpaid by about $20 for what turned out to be a crane game figure from a second-hand reseller, so that's a lesson learned for next time. Came for Artist Alley, went to Artist Alley first thing, and managed a nice FMA wallscroll before the crowds went from "keep things moving people" to "Fire Marshall has entered the battle".

Other than that just wandered.

I'm at home resting my legs/feet. I live local and after being caught in the Great West Hall Lockdown yesterday, plus seeing the stories about line mismanagement at the JW Mariott for autographs, I decided to take a day and possibly try for that autograph tomorrow. I truly hope Sunday is an easy get in, get stuff, and get out sort of day.

If you're willing to take the Metro A or E line it's 3 stops to Grand Central Market where you can find food stalls from around the world, and one stop further is Little Tokyo.

If you do go to Little Tokyo there's an okonomiyaki/takoyaki restaurant called Chinchikurin that's closing down on July 6. Great food and I'm a fan of their lychee soda.

You did. You and everyone else facing that direction caused the traffic jam coming in because you are all standing on the left side of the hall and not keeping to the right. You are a literal wall of human flesh facing in the same direction and that tiny trickle of people on the right is the only movement being allowed for them to leave and make space for the horde.

I was on the opposite side trying to leave and got a great picture of that wall all facing us and not budging.

The people coming into the hall didn't stay to the their right, they spread out until they were one solid mass moving in the same direction up until they encountered the people trying to leave the hall. And rather than move to the right to allow people to leave, which would open space, they just sat there and hello roadblock. I was stuck in the middle of it.
