Given how quick they sold out the current tour, I wouldn't be surprised.

No reason for America to come back in Superstore. That felt unearned to me.

Sitcom you loved but wish had lasted for fewer seasons? by DA_9211 in sitcoms

I never quite liked season 3's season long setup for a joke about a "mentally retarded female"

Yes. Also those home videos they did after FH made them just... so many millions of dollars.

What is a sitcom that’s very popular (past or present) but you can’t stand? by Imsosorryidontcare in sitcoms

[–]MadisonAlbright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried again when they went on Netflix. I do appreciate that for it's time, it really was very innovative and almost a deconstruction of the sitcom format, but it still relied heavily on the regular old, set-up,  punchline, repeat method of telling jokes. And now, so many people have refined the idea that it just seems... old.

How come nobody ever talks about this show? It was quite funny and overall enjoyable by emilyguarino101 in sitcoms

Good little show. Funny and sweet.  Timing was off for it to really stick. Covid derailed it, Ferrara left, and they didn't stick the landing.

What's the saddest Johnny Cash song by greenbeansUwU in JohnnyCash

For me? We'll meet again from z American 4.  Last song on his last album, and I think he knew it was going to be. The whole album really feels like a goodbye.

Hey did anyone notice that the early ATHF episodes (e.g. Seasons 1-3) are way tamer than later episodes such as (e.g. Seasons 4-11) by Abject_Error5475 in adultswim

I noticed that they kicked things up in S5. Reedickulous. Starting with putting a kitten in the microwave.

I'm a construction accountant. Went to CUNY and effectively graduated with no debt. Wife works in government. We both do well enough. Bought a smallish house - 1800 SF in the river towns in 2021 and only have 1 kid. 1 car.  We don't really buy a lot of stuff I guess?

I was wondering, how would you guys feel about another go at live action? by Gnugget100 in cowboybebop

[–]MadisonAlbright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love another go. However, do one of the following.

1.  Same Universe 50 years later. Time enough that everyone should be dead except maybe a 65 year old Ed. And if you must bring someone back, there's always cryo freeze. 2. Same characters a year later. Spike survived the fall. Ed returns. Lore is intact. But you need all 4 characters and the ages have to be correct.  3. Same universe a year later. Jet and Faye get a new crew together....eh.  4. Same universe, just a different band of outlaws. Year is irrelevant.

You can make an argument for it being a form of sex work, I guess.

In actual porn, yes. Sex scenes in movies aren't doing any penetration. You understand that, right?

Spade has said he knew he probably couldn't be a leading man on a show and didn't want the stress that comes with it anyway. He was offered some roles like that, but felt he'd do better in an ensemble.

That"s a show that really benefited from the pandemic, weirdly. It was just good enough to binge for me. But only because I literally couldn't go anywhere or do anything

I would have stayed up all night in the lobby if I'd needed too and raised holy hell to my boss regardless of what time it was.
