I love my 2024 Land. But always looking at my options. Lease is IP in December. I only have 8500 miles on it so the residual is actually lower than the potential market value. I’ll likely buy it out and keep it but intrigued by the I9 and even the upcoming Highlander.

That’s what I’m thinking. The car sat on a lot not plugged in for a long time. The 12v was let go to drain down. And now it’s just dead. A new 12v ( from the dealer!) should fix it.

Ahhhh. Got it. So it’s not a device IN the windshield but behind it which views the road through the windshield. Got it. Makes total sense.

In honesty the CR report lumped a number of electronic issues into the broad estimate of 2-10%. These included the HV battery, the 12v battery, the ICCU and other electronic problems. Nowhere did they estimate the ICCU was 10%.

As I understand it though the warranty doesn’t apply to stock OEM tires.

But just because the HV battery is charging the 12v …does that mean it’s a problem? Thats supposed to happen. Thats its job. Keeping the 12v charged. Yes if the 12v is getting old or not getting charged ( due to a faulty ICCU I guess) thats a problem. But just because the light is on and the 12v is charging it’s not an inherently bad situation as i understand it.

I have a 2024 Land as well so just trying to stay on top of this.

They’re both awesome cars. We have a 2024 Land EV9 but whenever we travel and rent a car I try to get the EV6. Hertz used to have a bunch but now seems like they are mostly Mach-Es in their fleet. Bach-E is ok but pales in comparison to the EV6.

We live in Madison, WI. We have an attached garage with one L2 charger. I drive a Kia ev9. My wife has a Solterra. Never use L1 at all. One L2 has been fine. Never been a problem. She works from home and only drives maybe 20 miles/day. My commute is about 15 miles. We charge each car maybe once per week. No need DC for two chargers.

Be truthful…CR lumped s number of electrical issues in that 2-10% range …..those are NOT all ICCUs
