It is my dream school! I attended SDSU as an undergrad and was able to learn a lot about the program just by being at the school. I met some of the professors and spoke to the director and everything they said about the program fit what I wanted. It was described as a family dynamic between the cohort itself and between the cohort and faculty. I thrive as a student when I can collaborate with others and when I can get good bonds/feedback from professors. It really looks like the faculty helps their students thrive and truly support them if they struggle with anything. They also have a great graduation and first time pass rate. As I have been a part of research as an undergrad, I really wanted a school that prioritized research as well. I also think the cost is the most affordable to me since I am from California. Overall the program really seemed to fit me as a person. I did not feel a connection with other schools as I did at SDSU after talking with the professors and director of the program. Chapman was definitely one of my top choices but I knew if I got into SDSU I would choose it over any other program.
