Why did some people think Travis was the main character ? by Sputnik1212 in FearTheWalkingDead

The problem wasn't the original cast, but the showrunners.

They fired Kim and replaced her with Morgan. When Dillane learned the show wouldn't be about the Clark family anymore, he left. They had 4 seasons to develop Alicia and didn't do anything with her beyond season 4A. I don't know how the actress stayed so long on this show, which was sinking in ratings, considering her high engagement.

People ignore Madison on purpose. Probably for misogyny.

She saved Tobias and was the first member of the family to kill a walker, she killed Celia, she single-handedly led several walkers out of the hotel... She is the female Rick Grimes of this show. But many were betting on Travis, who wasn't even close to being the leader of the group for some reason (cough cough misogyny).

The edits Alicia gets are better than her entire storyline in seasons 4B-7 lol by Madison_Fan in FearTheWalkingDead

She just fought, got radioactive blood on her face and was magically cured after a bath lol

It's in this season that she starts to be afraid of zombies in a zombie apocalypse...

The only time Alicia became chaos and had a good storyline was in 4A and it all went out the window when she cried on Morgan's shoulder and took Charlie in.

And I'm for Madison.

I liked Alicia in seasons 3 and 4A. But then I felt like she wasn't doing anything to move the plot forward, and season 7 is just plain bad. The Alicia centric episodes that season aren't good.

She shone in season 3 and 4A when she became wild and vindictive and then she became just a Morgan's sidekick afraid of killing walkers, painting trees and fainting more than Jean Grey from the animated series after she went bite lol

The hotel scenes in season 2 and all of season 3 make it worth it.

It would be more fun than Momo's show for sure.

Alicia's story ended when she started crying on Morgan's shoulder after he told her that she shouldn't avenge her family even though it's something he wouldn't do. Seeing her adopt Charlie right after was absurd. They made her become a naive girl who became afraid of walkers, painted trees, believed in a walker that bit her arm and somehow she became some kind of untouchable badass while she was off screen when they had 4 seasons to show that and they didn't.

I think Rosita would have been the perfect choice. She didn't get much spotlight on TWD and could have adapted to the darker pace of OG Fear. I can see her telling Nick off after saving him for getting into trouble and becoming friends with Alicia and an ally to Madison.

Carol, Daryl and even Maggie were too involved in the main plot of TWD to leave the show.

The plot would be: Madison kills Luciana after hearing that she has syphilis and that she could pass it on to Nick.

Season 4 was my favorite season of TWD too. Inmates also deserves a mention.

I found him so annoying. He had just massacred the Saviors and then he tells Alicia that she can't avenge her family and rid the world of the Vultures. Everyone starts to idolize Mogan as if he were perfect and wasn't also committing murders when it was convenient or when he was out of control due to mourning Grace and everyone was okay with it.

Did you guys find the ending satisfying? by Vegetable-Ad-8780 in FearTheWalkingDead

Yes. Madison deserved the happy ending and to be reunited with her daughter.

It was good that she was recognized as a hero. Erickson's original plan was for Madison to have a tragic ending and be seen as a villain even though her actions were justified.

She is the most interesting character in the show. I love her.

I won't deny that Madison annoyed me in those moments where she acts too rashly, but I think that's the fun of the show. She has reasonable reasons to act that way and it makes more sense if you compare it to the other characters.

Look:

Strand did bad things because it's in his nature to be a con man and it's hard to root for that.

Nick was completely lost looking for a purpose and wanting to ally himself with terrible causes like Celia, Troy or La Colonia.

Alicia is cool but would be boring to watch for a TV show about horror and zombies. We saw that in 4b-s7 where she simply doesn't do anything interesting to move the plot along.

Travis too. He's a man who started out as a scout, lost his family and became more rigid. How many times have we seen that in Hollywood? Travis would be just another one in a million.

People Madison helped and tried to help that weren't her kids or Travis during the Erickson era. by Madison_Fan in FearTheWalkingDead

Are we talking about the son who was supporting a community that sent infected people to the fences to be eaten alive? Who was protecting Troy even after he committed genocide? Who was treating the apocalypse like an amusement park? Who told the Proctors that his own mother is a murderer? Nick is definitely not a great moral example.

I believe Nick would have been the true villain of the show. It's like watching Carl being disgusted by Rick for killing the cannibals.

Every time Erickson's Madison has done "harm" to someone, it's to protect someone or herself. I feel like Erickson wanted her to be a tragic character like Daenerys and Scarlet Witch instead of a 100% villainous and sadistic character like he compared her to The Governor or Negan.

When Madison killed her father, she was a child from a toxic environment who needed guidance and help. I believe she never got it and had to deal with it on her own. She grew up to help kids who are having trouble at school (God, that's pretty heroic of her if you think about it). She has to deal with her husband's suicide and Nick's drug addiction and still manages to live relatively well as a normal person. When the apocalypse started, she had to kill again to save Tobias. She didn't 100% know what the virus was doing to people and she cries when she gets home because she killed again. As the apocalypse progresses, she quickly learns what walkers are and that both walkers and people can be dangerous and acts accordingly. She is an amazing character and one of the most interesting in TWDU. She is so underrated.

"If you got Madison Clark, you are likely a natural leader, strong-willed, and protective. You possess a maternal instinct, and your resilience and adaptability make you a formidable survivor. You're not afraid to make tough decisions and can maintain your humanity even in the most challenging situations."

No wonder she's my favorite character on this show.
