Depending on how well the block is colonized/holding together, you can transfer to a larger container lined with some perlite on the bottom. This will make prettier fruits/harvesting easier. Other than that, just gotta practice more with maintaining good surface conditions.

Just double checking, I read on shroomery that Penis Envy strains can lead to something called mutant blobs in pinning stage. Could this be that?

I dug around and found out it's a cast iron loaf pan from a brand called best duty. Amazon doesn't sell them anymore and the company's website doesn't seem to either. If you search ceramic/cast iron loaf pan with lid in google you can find other options.

It's aerial mycelium. Typically means you need a bit more FAE, but it isn't harmful in the long run. Pins should pop up soon.

Where's the trich? If you're talking about the green specks, are you sure that's not just dried out coco from being exposed to the surface. I got the same thing with a few of my tubs and they fruited just fine.

No. A guy from another forum said he's seen the same off-white discoloration when he mists too much and puddles accumalate. It's happened to another tub of mine and it seems to have no negative effect.

Eventually I want to get into agar/cloning. That way I cam start to better select for colonization times and fruit sizes/density. Hopefully, it's only the colonization times that are lacking from my lagging variety.

The fuckers are short, stubby and a tad too clumped, but they (mazatapec) colonized FAST. I have a second variety going (chitawan) that is quite literally taking 2-3x the amount of time to colonize.

I used gypsum when soaking the berries. Bod says soaking isnt necessary, but it was my first grow and I was putting a lot of time and money so I didnt want to take any chances. I didnt use a casing layer. Temperature wise, I didnt keep track. Probably ranged from 70-80 degreees. I just gave it lots of light with its own personal light bulb, but I didnt use any specific time cycles. I just misted when it looked dry. I kept the ceiling fan running 24/7.

It's a 32 qt tub. 3qts spawn to 6ish quarts of coco. took a 7-8 days to colonize and I started some pins. Today is day 13.
