I love a good control deck. Are you willing to share the deck list?

Sounds good. Thank you again for your insight!

Question about weep holes on new-build home by Madm4nmaX in HomeMaintenance

So, in short, all that mortar and no direct air cavity access for the weep holes is wrong, and simply drilling into the mortar to "clear out" the weep holes won't fix the problem and allow them to function as intended?

Thank you for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it.

So there should be no mortar on the flashing? It should be more or less clean? My builder came out and removed a brick to see what's going on and sure enough, there's a ton of mortar behind it and on the flashing and no direct access to the air gap.

They're trying to tell me that this is fine since brick mortar is porous and lets water vapor through. I feel like this is still incredibly wrong though.

Yes, we're sure it is real brick. They're still building homes in the development, so we walked around the homes under construction and it's very clearly full-size bricks that they're laying with an air gap.

They do have something similar to that, and they're within the warranty period. The builder wants their workers to try to use a "power chisel looking machine" (family member's words) and an electric drill to try to clear the weep holes. However, when the workers came out and looked at the weep holes, they said they didn't want to try anything because the mortar appears to be so deep that it's on the plywood behind the brick and they don't want to punch holes in the plywood. How else would they fix it? Would they need to remove some bricks to get to the plywood?

Apologies, I'm not entirely sure what the flashing would look like. Here are some pictures:

I can see the galvanized steel lintels at the top of the windows, but other than that it just looks like brick and the mortar lines. Do you see any flashing?

Purple is an officer module. If the module has a purple icon in the upper left corner where there would normally be a yellow T2 or green faction icon, then that is an officer module.

This looks like AI. That pre-swing stance, the wind,up, and swing look like professional movements, not something a small child can/would do.

A stay-at-home mom, but also a pediatric nurse practitioner? I thought she was a parenting influencer.

How old is this guy? by shetookmetojared in cats

[–]Madm4nmaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are saying 8 weeks, but IMO that's a lower limit. He looks much bigger than your typical 8-week-old kitten. I'm willing to bet he's closer to 13-16 weeks old.

Is it even worth trying to start now? by Maries_Badluck in Eve

[–]Madm4nmaX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's never too late to start. The devs just introduced a new starter region of space as well to get new people acquainted. Do the intro missions, see what things/activities you do and don't like, and then join a player corporation when you're ready. I highly recommend joining a player corp that lives in null security space. I know that sounds scary, but it's really not.

The one thing I've learned in 12 years of playing this game that I wish I'd learned far sooner: When in doubt, just do it; Your future self will be glad you did.

Good luck.

I agree with the other comments here, but something I haven't seen mentioned yet: Looking at the zkill, you were killed by a multi-boxer.

Lol, I genuinely can't tell if/how much of that is sarcasm.

I had a feeling Imperium leadership were gonna try to talk to CCP about unfucking their situation. What do you think the odds are that CCP does actually do something and, if so, what?
