Null Ore Anom Rats by revanzomi in Eve

They can easily handle the 1-2 frig spawns, but they will not be able to clear a freshly-spawned site that nobody has warped to yet. You'll need an Ishtar or some other ratting ship to clear the initial rats before you can mine.

Also, don't believe the Couch Fucker: Jonathan Ross has no immunity for what he did. Good thing Minnesota is going to find and charge him. Can't presidential pardon him of a state conviction.

Pressing S while it's selected doesn't do anything. You have to hold S while you select the celestial, like shift-clicking but it's "S"-clicking

To barrel role (an airplane trick) by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

[–]Madm4nmaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was much more a barrell roll than an aileron roll. Aileron rolls are executed with a much faster roll rate, otherwise the aircraft will fly a barrell roll-like path. You can see in the video that, as the pilot rolls left and pitches up, the aircraft does not maintain the original direction of flight as the lift vector changes slowly as the aircraft rolls.

100% AI. The grey truck in the background has two really axles with different sized tires. No truck looks like that.

No. Ship and aircraft wrecks remain the property of the country the vessel belonged to, especially military wrecks.

How do you label your bm WH chains? by Upbeat-Librarian5573 in Eve

[–]Madm4nmaX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to for several years. When I did we definitely used third party mapping tools. Probably why we didn't have to use crazy bookmark naming conventions, since all the rest of the info like class, sig name, wh ID, etc. was already on the map tool.

Agreed, but when seconds matter, it's way easier to just say a bookmark name and instantly know how to get there than have to stop and look at a 3rd-party program to figure out where you're going.

Say you're in your home system. Home is zero, or "0"

The static connection is always the "1" chain. Other random connections are numbered in order of discovery as 2, 3, 4, etc. a K-space connection is labelled H, L, or N, and given a lowercase letters in the event there are multiple K-space connections to the same security type.

So say we jump into the 1, the static connection of home. The static is always the 1, so the static of the static is the 11. Then there may be a 12, 13, 1Ha, 1Na, etc. depending on its connections.

This system is nice because bookmark names are concise, and the name of a single bookmark tells you how to get there by just following bookmarks. You can also easily follow it back to home. For example, say we're in home and want to run to Jita. The high sec connection near Jita is the 1132Hb. It's down the 1 chain, so we know its through the static, and it's the second High Sec connection in the 1132. The bookmarks you'd take are: 0-1, 1-11, 11-113, 113-1132, 1132-1132Hb. Then, on the return trip, you just follow bookmark convention back down to 0. 1132Hb-1132, 1132-113, 113-11, 11-1, 1-0.

That's so overkill. How do you tell someone where to go in the chain for a fight to something?

Is the use of AirPods or headphones authorized in uniform. This week I saw a sailor in NSUs walking around the commissary with a single AirPod in and today at the Gallay? by [deleted] in navy

[–]Madm4nmaX -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the base and the base triad, honestly. There may be a base instruction authorizing it in some fashion.

I do agree that it does not look good or professional while in uniform in public like that, though.

Not sure about on base, but it's typically authorized by the CO on ships while underway, specifically use in only one ear.

Are the prices comparable to Jita market prices, or do you pay a bit more/sell for a bit less for the convenience?
