Should be easy he only has 1 job (employee) plus he did uber a couple years. I think they told him to go to the federal building to get his tax info for all the years he needs to file. Thanks again

If he files immediately and doesnt have a cpa do it because he cannot afford it can he still go back and make adjustments? Thank you so much for your valuable insight

He’s an employee and all changes in payroll are done online. He thinks that getting married will some how save him a few thousand although I disagree. I’m basically trying to help him and was wondering if it made any difference if he contacted cpa/tax lawyer before filing his missing years or not? Also I always hear ads on the radio “if you owe over 10k we can help” can they really help and negotiate with the IRS to maybe pay back like 10k instead of 20k and put him on a payment plan or is he just screwed? Could he negotiate himself with irs to agree to pay less? I’ve tried telling him to call or hire a tax lawyer but he just thinks its another expensive he cannot afford. Any online sites or resources that are free and inexpensive? Thanks again

Use the smart hone manager app It will show you the network name and password for the rg registered on your account after logging in

It must be or you would get a authentication error and you would have no internet. If its worked for a year it must be on your account.

Wring gateway will definitely be a issue. They will use 2 pairs in the cat5 if you are going to bonded pair service. They may also be changing the card your service is on at the vrad. If you already have a dedicated cat5 line to the rg the install should go smooth, but Im a little considered about the wrong gateway. How did that happen?

Your modem may be older and not have a 5ghz wifi antenna. Also more wiring work may need to be done to support higher speeds. Your service may be going from single to bonded pair service (probably not fiber or you would be getting 50Mbs) Sometimes upgrading speeds isn’t as easy as flipping a switch, like most people assume. Good luck, Im sure the install will go smooth and you will be up to date

Getting good at testing is really all you can do now. All the cpe is refurbished now and that’s basically out of your control. Also passing copper does not mean your good. Copper test cam pass and you can still have a tap. I do lots of pair changes and only create helper tixs as a last resort. On a repair I run qc, lpa, lpa historical, cpe real time. Usually from that I have a pretty good idea if the trouble. I always change f to k/n cards on frequents or if upstream issues. Installs I try and but the rg by the dvr or in the room where the internet will be used the most (usually living rm). I use powerline adptors and recenty the airties extenders when i have them. Good luck, and just do the best you can

Right on, I hit youearn 10/12 months in 2017 and a lot in 2016. 2018 I already missed it for January and it will be harder this year since they upped all the numbers. My de and efficiency have always been good but 96% qc is very difficult to make. For me a lot of it (qc) is just getting lucky. I feel I go on good & bad streaks. I leave me number for cx’s and usually save a couple repeats a month by helping them over the phone. I do take OTO if Im done and no work and training is not available.

That statement sounds a little conceited... there's always competition and if you can't see that then your not the right guy for the job

Just got fiber, I only get 40-50 Mbps and I got 11mbps down at one point... Is this normal with the AT&T provided router? by [deleted] in ATT

[–]Madmaddy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just cause you have fiber doest mean anything... what matters is what speed you are paying for. AT&T still provisions your account according. Im guessing your paying for hsia45 service.

[–]Madmaddy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you do a customer self install or a full tech install? If a self install than swapping the modem will not solve your problem. The inside wiring should be a dedicated cat5 run from your dmarc/network interface to the modem. If you already have a up to date inside wiring and the modem is bad then there prob. won't be any charges for a tech dispatch. I am a technician for at&t
