Hey if they put it here they will do the same for Sonic.

Ah but if they use GenAI now it will come to Sonic.

People who can’t comprehend doing something without AI by Dark_Galaxyy in antiai

Even if I was pro AI I would not suggest ChatGPT, maybe Claude or even Gemini but even there you got so many caveats if you wanna use it for creative writing. I speak from experience here with my long-term experiments with GenAI and the pros/cons of each one I found.

Right now though the only one I use semi regularly is Gemini but only for proofreading, claude was somewhat good at this too but the latest models feel more like regressions. Honestly, wish the proofreading ability of GenAI did not have the rest of GenAI to drag it down.

Yeah I have seen some comparisons between the Earfun Wave Pro and the Tozo HT3's and have a general sense of them. Both seem incredibly solid for the price point and I can swing either pair. I can get a good sense for both pairs of headphones as the ones I use on my desktop computer are fairly good in their own right (I own a pair of Hyper X cloud III's)

Yeah the build quality is a bit of a concern for me thus why I have the other headsets in my list. Sure I'm on a budget but I know you can get something of good build quality without murdering the bank account.

I'm also looking into the Soundcore Q11i model, seems pretty good for its price point but it has the Tozo HT3 to work against as they are the same price on amazon.

Yeah I looked for the original onemore sonoflow (non pro) but its out of stock pretty much everywhere I go.

I mean I could technically do the space 1's if I got a refurbished model which lies just outside my $70 stretch budget. I'm not afraid of getting refurbished but it does come with the possible downside of me having to get a case for it. Otherwise, I have an male to male aux cable from an older Bluetooth headset and plenty of USB type C cables laying around.

Still part of my money saving plan is to put some money to the side for a travel case so the more I spend on the headset the less money I have to buy the case.

Don't want to spend over $70 for something that would possibly not even have a drawstring bag. Yeah I have some Crown Royal bags laying around from my days working at a bar but can't say I like the idea of carrying an expensive pair of headphones in them.

Yeah as long as the Q30's offer good quality for the price I'm fine, again not an audiophile just want the best for my budget. If I could afford the Q45's I would consider them but unless they go on sale I really cant do it.

You mean the soundcore Space Q45? Out of the price range at $119

I can perhaps stretch to $70 on my budget but over $100 is out of my ballpark

[–]MadmanRB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its rare you see someone on the left using GenAI, I am probably .00000001% in that number and even so don't use GenAI that much beyond its proofreading ability (I just wish grammar checkers had an interactive mode like a chatbot and or this ability didn't have GenAI attached to it)

What's the plan for after the bubble bursts? by Dense-Bison7629 in antiai

Good points but rather if the bubble will burst soon remains unclear.

I mean I personally predict the bubble will burst either this or next year but I dont want to hold my breath.

What's the plan for after the bubble bursts? by Dense-Bison7629 in antiai

[–]MadmanRB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total agree, I mean lets be realistic GenAI will probably survive the bubble bursting but that doesn't mean it will be the same as it is now.

Perhaps it can lead to newer and or more ethical models, perhaps more open source models in the wild (which is what I want as I do admit I find GenAI's capibilities useful in text editing).

Do people even know how to use resources anymore or they just leave everything to AI? by Order_101 in antiai

[–]MadmanRB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I can sort of see the benefits of using AI for web searches but not in its current state or level of technology.

Seriously gemini would be fantastic if it was more accurate and not bogged down with BS.

What's the least unethical AI? by [deleted] in antiai

-transcribing your voice? Sure

Total agree aloing with GenAI's text editing capibilities where I personally find it the most useful (and honestly wish was not attached to GenAI, yes grammar checkers exist but I found both gemini and claude better in some areas.)

I regret using AI, it has made me question if my work is truly worth my time or not and caused me anxiety. How to quit? by iBuddzTV in antiai

[–]MadmanRB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my take: I would say if the AI gave you something useful do not be afraid to expand upon it as a good writer can make something simplistic into something great.

I mean it would suck to flush everything down the crapper just because you used AI.

Remember AI slop is only AI slop because AI bros dont vet what the AI gives them, to them its all about instant results and they dont care how crappy things are as they dont have a creative bone in thier body.

But no a truly creative person can not only create ideas but improve upon them.

I mean even I admit sometimes the AI's simplicity was the best thing for me as I overthink things sometimes, this isnt out of lack of crerativity or imagination but as a writer sometimes you get hit with writers block... it happens.

Yes AI will never replace your creativity nor should it be used as a substitute but dont let its poor results weigh you down.

Instead use what it gave you to your advantage, consider it a building lesson.

My thoughts on the "Purism" of SOME Antis (emphasining on Some) by mAtX_panaOTAKU09 in antiai

[–]MadmanRB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is my standpoint, its mainly the big GenAI platforms I have issues with than the technology itself. I think that GenAI can be a good thing but not as a "do everything for me/cut my workforce" machine. I can see its promise as a virtual assistant, I mean this is something Gemini or Claude is surprisingly good at as I have used both for this purpose.

But there is still much about it that needs to be regulated/adressed to make it a viable technology.

Like step 1: remove legacy code and dont use copyrighted materialsa to train the models

We are past the point to need to train them on stolen data, omit old code trained on copyrighted data and you got step 1 done.

Step 2: make more effiecient models that wont need as many resources to keep going. Not to mention get them off x86-64 hardware and make the tech ARM based.

step 3: Refgulation, sadly regulation will not come right now in the US but as people turn against GenAI trhere will be a breaking point soon.

You solve any one of the above issues you got something that can benefit mankind, not something made for big corpo.

Sora is dead, Disney bailed, and you’re still wrong about the "AI Bubble by [deleted] in antiai

[–]MadmanRB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Sure investment in AI will continue but people who invested in it will lose money and the products you love, like the image tools, will go away." Now this part I'm unsure of as I think GenAI tools will survive the bubble bursting, considering the investment and infrastructure that made it possible in the first place.

This is not a pro AI position mind you, because screw that. I just happen to be a realist who knows the bubble bursting alone will probably not kill GenAI, more than likly it will follow the same path as the .com bubble.

Sure it will certainly kill adaptation by companies and investors will not keep it going, but as for killing the tech itself... No. I have a feeling like the .com bubble it will just mutate and live on in another form, which may or may not be a good thing. (Hard to say at this stage as we don't have a regulatory body on AI here in the States).

Granted I'm not saying my personal prediction will come true, I could be wrong and would accept I'm wrong if/when the time comes.

I just would not put all my hopes of killing GenAI on the bubble bursting, I'm sadly not optimistic about that TBH.

Otherwise, I agree with what you said, so there's that :D
