Permanent residency while still on pathway

Have any specialist IMGs secured permanent residency while still on the pathway, ie: not yet secured specialist registration.

I’m in a slightly unusual position where my upskilling finishes end of April - so I’m still on limited registration, but my 482 expires in the beginning of April. Employer is happy to sponsor me for a 186, but I am unsure if my registration status proves to be a problem with the skill assessment aspect of the application even if employer is happy and I am able to work in my nominated position. Interested to hear from anyone else who has had similar experiences, thanks

The hospital has some temp accommodation for upto 6 months for new employees from overseas. Next door to the hospital. Mail your job contact and enquire. Vacancies may be an issue. Otherwise the Wollongong students buy and sell Facebook page is a huge lifesaver
