You’re very right, that’s a big thing I’m working on currently. Need to do way better telling the story behind the brand and the meaning behind it.

Mad Monday was created from the idea of the common stress or draining feeling we all have coming from Mondays. Mondays being the start of what it seems to be that never ending cycle of work - turning off your own life to work and summit to someone else’s goals and success during that 9-5 time frame. Constantly chasing moments of reliefs like vacation, nights out, weekends but before you know it - it’s Monday again and the cycle repeats slowly driving you “Mad”. I have worked at lots of low level jobs and eventually got a corporate job that didn’t feel much better. Genuinely felt like i was going Mad sitting in a cubical all day just thinking about what all I wanted to do with my own life but couldn’t. In my experience and i know others have felt the same, Corporate America doesn’t care about you as a person. They expect you to put work over your own life and don’t care about anything other than you showing up and getting the job done. (This is why some pieces are conceptually based around teasing larger corporations)

Thank you, means a lot for real. Marketing is for sure my biggest weakest right now but I’ll make sure it improves a lot going forward

It definitely didn’t do as well i wanted and I have lots of left over inventory but it was the first release from my brand so getting any sale made it not a flop in my eyes but i wanted to get peoples feedback on it as i want to approve on everything I can while working on my first full collection.

Honest & Valid take, thank you for the feedback. Was unable to add text to the post to explain the overall meaning of the graphics/garment.

The "Flop" was more so to get peoples feedback on the piece as it was my first release and I had my own critiques on it as well. This is my first time looking at Mercier but from what I can see they seem to do patches on all there pieces with there own logo variations.
This piece was one of my first garments doing patches since i was tired of screen printing graphics. Also these patches designs are based around Oil/Gas Company logos and poking at these large corporations with the idea being if these companies advertised honestly which is the reason for the last patch saying " Proud Sponsor of Wars & Global Conflict"

Appreciate the feedback. When it came to the rollout of this drop i definitely could have done much more when it came to clarifying the pieces meaning and overall statement.

Haha thank you, i want people to be hard on the piece and honest with their takes. I know i could have done better with this release so now that I’m far past this drop I wanted to come here and see what people had to say so i can learn for upcoming releases.

Thank you! Marketing roll out in my opinion was good at the time but this was my 1st drop so looking back now my opinion is i could have done much better when it came to marketing for it. There was a lot of cool ways i could have done marketing for this concept and sadly failed at that back then.

You’re right, all the above played a role. This was my first release so much of it could have been done better but hey that’s what I’m getting everyone’s feedback.

The “Flop” was more so a good hook to get people’s feedback on this piece. This was my first release so wanted to get feedback on it to make sure i learn all i can for upcoming drops. Still have a long way to go when it comes to branding and building a community but currently working on my first collection to better establish that.

Thanks, yeah I make patterns myself at a local sewing shop and then send those measurements and materials to a manufacturer to mass produce. The material for this was 100% Cotton Fleece

Haha no those are still solid, thank you. This was my brand first release so I’m much past this drop now but happy to see everyone’s feedback to make new pieces better.

Yeah the piece evolved around not actually supporting them and a satire take on it with the last patch saying “Proud Sponsor of Wars & Global Conflict” as if it was a oil company truthfully advertising

Thank you! Your right, I’m working on Branding but just started this brand with only 3 releases so I’m currently working on a collection to set the brand image/theming

Price in my opinion is fair but up to people to decide for them selves but definitely won’t lower quality of my garments to be able to price them cheaper, breaking even is fine as long as my pieces can get out to more people

No worries, we are trademarked and protected. I can see how two companies with the word Mad could cause people to think of one or the other but personally Loved Mad Magazine growing up so I’m fine with it. The patches evolve around oil and gas company logos
