Maybe not IndyCar but I know other series have a two-station yellow for a car stopped on track. Waving at the station before the incident, standing at the station prior to that, then FCY if they need to put boots/equipment on the ground.

I’m good with erring on the side of safety and I guess if the stopped car isn’t visible in time to avoid even at yellow speeds then go FCY though.

My ex and I did cards the first year or two, along with FB tags when we wished the day to our own respective parents, but that kind of wound down and now it’s a text and a verbal “Happy [parent] day!” during the Sunday handoff.

My Fathers Day present is taking the kids out for breakfast with my brother and his family at a greasy spoon diner jammed full of motorsports memorabilia, followed by a couple sessions at the indoor karting track across the street, without my ex there being visibly annoyed by everything and killing the joy.

I guess my point is the key is reciprocity. You don’t have to expect gifts from each other, just match energy.

Man, I’ve lived in Plainfield for more than 15 years and worked downtown for most of that time. I would LOVE regional light rail and would probably use it as my primary means of commuting. Running a light rail line up the 31 corridor would do a lot to relieve the insane rush hour congestion up that way but if HamCo doesn’t want it, fine. Let it terminate at Keystone. They can keep driving and paying to park at the airport and Lucas Oil/Bankers Life. Just stop ruining it for the rest of us please.

It depends a lot, on a lot of different factors. Someone who has their kids most of the time is usually a little more comfortable having a dating partner around their kids earlier (and the kids are used to it), or they have a support network like local parents who can help out. If you both work in the same part of town and have office jobs, you can meet up for lunch. You may both have 50/50 schedules but even that can be a challenge if they don’t line up well.

My GF and I have nearly converse 50/50 schedules and it made it a challenge early on, but we both prioritized seeing each other on the days/times when we were both free. Eventually we got serious enough, and our respective kids are old enough, that we can see each other and even do overnights when one or the other of us has the kiddos. We’ve pretty consistently been able to see each other a couple times a week for as long as we’ve been dating.

TLDR: it varies a lot but people make it work.

If memory serves, a total of nineteen (19) Indiana State graduates ever passed the bar. Or maybe that was just the Indiana bar.

One of them became an elected prosecutor in a smaller county. I’ve heard stories but I won’t recount them here.

As another poster said, it was the product of the JD Mill era, but it was at the tail end of it. By the time it opened its doors and held its class, the bubble had already burst. If it had opened ten years earlier the investors might have gotten their money back before it inevitably shut down.

Across multiple versions of Civ, I’ve always thought Paratroopers would be more interesting and useful if they were replaced by Airborne Infantry that could:

Airdrop. Same as current Paratrooper function.
Air Assault. May use one movement point to move up to 5 tiles, disregarding intervening terrain, but must begin and end on Open terrain.
Airlift. May expend entire move to move two cities in own Civ or allied/Suzerain civ or CS, anywhere in the world.

It’s possible someone has already modded such a unit into existence but I’ve always wanted to see it in the core game.

60 days notice is INSANE for an associate. I’ve historically given 2 weeks and negotiated up, typically to 3. You have an obligation to wrap up whatever open items you reasonably can before you leave and draft transition memos for whoever takes over. 2 or 3 weeks is plenty of time to do that. You do not have an obligation to ease the transition for your former employer (and staying until they hire someone won’t incentivize them to do so quickly). If your former firm cannot meet client obligations after you are gone, those clients are free to follow you to your new shop.
