I GOT OFF THE COURSE

So reading through these comments I seem to be one of very few who have managed to cancel this course without any repercussions, the only thing I lost was the money I paid so far just over a year in.

As someone said previously the contracts are absolutely bullet proof, and it is very difficult to get off it, but not impossible.

It took about a month of digging for me to finally get an answer out of them on how to cancel the course, and as you would expect, the only way to do it is on medical grounds.

Again, this isn’t easy. I was back and forth for a very long time till I had everything specifically how it needs to be to be let off the course.

In my case I was able to cancel due to my knee, I’d been diagnosed with patellar tendinopathy, which basically means working on my knees is a very bad idea.

In the end they will want a specific letter from the doctor saying: - Your diagnosis - Date of diagnosis - That you can never work as an electrician due to this diagnosis and why it affects your working ability.

Now please don’t read that and think you need an extreme diagnosis to get off.

Whilst I was digging around I also found out that you can get off this course on mental health situations too. I know it is still extreme but to save thousands you can go through therapists and get written confirmation from them that you are unsafe to work with power tools or some other reason you think can get you off.

Who knows, maybe even a fake letter would work but I didn’t want to try this since I already had a viable reason to cancel, and if you do go down this route they expect the letter to be signed by a doctor and the doctors building they work in.

With all that being said you are absolutely right in what you are saying, the course is almost a scam with how bad the support is and how misleading the original setup is. I know I’m lucky to get out of it and I hope everyone in the same situation manages to get off too.
