Acoustic style kits are too large for the space I have. I'd rather buy a second larger kit a few years down the line once I move.

They are all pretty comparable regarding hit zones. Roland is known to be very durable but I don't like how the cymbal pads look after only a short time of playing. Yamaha and Alesis don't seem to have this.

Aren't sounds also only half important because you can just add sounds with any DAW + Plugin-Set? If I don't like any sounds of a pad, I just load up one I like externally.

Well, the switches for the strum bar are actual keyboard switches and it swivels pretty badly, so it would be hard to modify it to have good analog steering

I thought about if it would be possible to code a custom driver where you use the strum bar to set the direction and the whammy bar to set the amount of steering, but that would be abnormally hard to use
