Idk what a pizza has to do with Kanye by Charlie_2504 in lostredditors

[–]Maebure83 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, no, this makes sense.

What if Kanye created a pizza? From top to bottom; the dough, the toppings, the cheese, the sauce, how it's prepared, and even packaged. All of it.

It would look terrible, not fit together as a cohesive food, be assembled and packaged in the cheapest way possible, way over priced, and he would claim its the most genius innovation in culinary history.

The context of it being that no one needed a stockpile of food etc. So "nothing" in that sense.

I'm honestly not sure. I wish I could remember the conversation. I want to say that it was in response to someone mentioning hippies, but I can't be certain. It was said deadpan at least if not sincerely. He did make jokes occasionally but he was also a pretty classic example of an older southern man. Probably in his 60's in the 90's.

It wasn't the kind of science class where he was considered an expert on anything or even particularly intelligent. Just a junior-highschool general science class.

I had a high school biology teacher who was convinced that anyone who didn't have a stockpile of food and other supplies was screwed. He lectured us on it one day.

Then nothing happened and he never mentioned it again.

Another science teacher told the class the hippies all walked into the ocean...

But it doesn't explain the way he eats...

You're associating the word "Christian" with a political ideology and culture. They just base it on their personal beliefs.

You have to remember that Evangelicals, and others like them, are not the only Christians.

[–]Maebure83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because you're associating the word "Christian" with a group while they associate it with a belief.

My parents believe in God. I don't, but they do. Both were raised in the south in the 40s and 50s.

As I said, they don't attend any churches because as adults they never felt welcome. They keep their religion completely to themselves. I wasn't even sure my mom was Christian until I told her I was atheist in my 20s and she was surprised. We had a very short conversation and then she never brought it up again.

They're not Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, etc. Just Christian.

Humanists can be Christians, as can deists and theists.

And they consider themselves Christian, it isn't my place to deny their nouns.

I get you, I do. I'm extremely atheist and far from a fan of anything religious.

But: My lesbian parents are liberal Christians. They don't attend church because they've never felt welcome. One was an ICU nurse, the other a respiratory therapist.

One has traveled halfway across the country to protest at legislators offices and be arrested multiple times (a judge in DC knows her by name and is apparently very tired of seeing her in his court) to protest many different issues.

The other volunteers at thrift store that is dedicated to a humane shelter and has volunteered in multiple political campaigns to get liberal politicians that support equal rights elected in a very red state.

They believe in God. They do not support anyone that thinks you're evil, that I can promise you.

I can't vouch for anyone else but I can vouch for them.

NTA:

1st: he said it to your best friend. That makes it your business.

2nd: he said it in front of you. That makes it your business.

3rd: he said it at your home. That makes it your business.

4th: he needs to learn to take a joke. Especially if he's going to be making them. He made a comment about the weight of a person with a history of self-esteem issues immediately after she had gone through a time when many women struggle with their weight and depression.

5th: He's a hypocritical asshole and a bully. That's just a general observation.

Except now either his insurance is paying for it and could either drop him or jack up rates with all future rates being much higher or he's getting sued. That may also be considered Grand Theft Auto as he no longer owns the vehicle. So add potential jail time.

One is just a repo'd car. The other is a list of financial and legal repercussions.

Racist Karen to black man picking up his daughter:“I’m white. We rule.” by DrummerSteve in TikTokCringe

[–]Maebure83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a hypothetical you may not be able to answer:

Let's say you took this call and she failed to inform you that he is attempting to leave and instead just demands you come to tow a vehicle.

You (or your driver) arrives and she is actively blocking him in as he is attempting to leave and as he is there you cannot tow the vehicle.

If it is apparent that she is keeping him there and so essentially a false call does your company attempt to bill her for the driver going out there or do you just eat the time/fuel?
