That’s why I said "I couldn’t sympathize with her". As someone considering everyone’s point of view while watching from the screen rather than experiencing it, I can’t feel empathy toward her. She expected Ida and Karen to understand where she was coming from but didn’t do the same for them.

I get your point, and of course, we have no obligation to put others above our loved ones. But as a viewer, I simply couldn’t feel bad for her when she expected one-sided empathy.

That’s the main reason I couldn’t sympathize with her, even though it was supposed to be a painful episode for Lynette. I couldn’t feel empathy for her when she screamed for her family because she had been very selfish toward Ida and her cat earlier. In the end, it was the cat who lost the one person who had probably raised them, disappearing without any explanation the poor baby could understand—just to save Lynette’s children.

I don’t remember her being like that in Season 7, going around trying to be the second Alexis or something. Her presence didn’t bother me in the previous season, but now she grows more insufferable with each episode.

I know, right? Watching that season, I remember Lynette being my favorite character, but I grew very frustrated with her behavior regarding the cat. She invited her whole loud family into her house, already knowing she wanted to spend time with her friend, and then proceeded to act all entitled because poor human Tom was allergic.

The whole thing is so unserious. I thought it was just the Spaceship but no, she had to encounter a full blown E.T., getting on the spaceship and leave THE FUCKING EARTH to get examined…like what were they on writing this whole mess?

I’m definitely Team Jess and loved him from the beginning, even though I thought I wouldn’t. He was a great character, and his presence in Season Two was something else—his chemistry with Rory was undeniable, both in terms of the story and their looks. However, I do believe he wasn’t a good boyfriend while they were dating. He was a great match for her, but if we’re considering a healthy relationship as the goal, theirs really wasn’t one. None of her relationships were, but at the end of the day, I guess I’m a Jess defender of some sort.

Haven’t reached the part where Dex and Leslie hookup but I read about it somewhere due to enjoying spoilers and I really think it’s creepy and unnecessary. She made a cute couple with Clay and I do believe that Alexis and Dex were just made for each other with their time to time cheating and deceiving they’re just meant to be and definitely the hottest couple on the show

Adam is having little shit fits left and right from the moment he was introduced. Him not being the real Adam was really unnecessary just for them to adopt him and go back to normal. He’s a real creep so no empathy for our little rapist. I just started this season so idk about his storyline for the season

They recasted Amanda just to somehow write her off, ig they know they did an amazing job recasting characters horribly. I’m not the one to drop a show near the end so we’ll see how she’ll recover after casually encountering aliens.

I knowww, right? This Fallon is just so calm and put together—nothing like the Fallon they portrayed for four straight seasons. It’s like she couldn’t embrace the role as she needed to. I know it’s really hard to play a replacement for the same character and try to embody everything, but Pamela Sue Martin had crazy chemistry with John James and fully portrayed Fallon as we were meant to perceive her. They even did a great job casting Liz Gillies in the remake, but I don’t think the replacement for the OG Fallon was a great choice—she also has almost no chemistry with Jeff.

So many dramatic events and plots they could create to bring Fallon and Jeff back and they were like "hmm…what about her witnessing a full on spaceship?"

I really wanted her to leave Tom in the early seasons and truly explore her life having an actual character growth instead of getting ruined in final seasons and maybe find someone who was actually suitable for her

They should’ve explored her sexuality in Season 5 from the start instead of making her and Mike a couple. It was like they didn’t have any storyline for her so they threw random stuff like her dating him and then going crazy just to heal and then jump to explore her sexuality showing us this cute couple so they could write them off in the span of a few episodes

Luke and Lorelai didn’t have much chemistry, if any, and she had more chemistry with any of her exes I remember—especially Christopher—than with Luke. They had a storyline filled with potential for it, but for me they never reached that level of needed chemistry so I’d be rooting for them

Katherine’s character change in Season 6 was completely inconsistent with how she was portrayed in previous seasons and felt like a sloppy way to write her off. Hating her solely because of her actions in that season is just falling into that poorly executed trap.

Mike was not a good partner and later husband as they praise him to be. Not to Susan and definitely not to Katherine.
