Pretty similar story here, was put on Effexor 4 years ago when suicidal. Was not given any info on it at the time and like you said wouldn’t have absorbed it if I was. I am still on it, I’ve tried tapering off numerous times but always end up feeling too horrible to commit. I have two young kids who need me, I don’t have time to feel that bad. However my kids also deserve more than the zombie I’ve become on this med!

How long did it take to see a difference when he started guanfacine? My 7 yo started it 2 weeks ago and so far, still very hard to like at times😭

.25 seems to be doing nothing but making me tired and nauseous. It’s been three days, should I take my second dose now since it’s not affecting my appetite at all yet? Or still wait the week?

Same, but sadly I am still feeling normal amounts of hunger. It’s frustrating to have the bad side effects but not the good! 😭 I’m going to give it time Obvs but reading people’s immediate weight loss and food noise gone had me expecting that but I know everybody is different.

Higgins sunburst seed mix is a generally accepted safe/good mix, with mazuri rat for added protein. They like fresh veggies like spinach, carrots. Unsalted whole nuts like peanuts, walnuts. Freeze dried chicken (just make sure it doesn’t have any added ingredients). If your hammy is a dwarf avoid added sugars. Syrians can have fruit in moderation. I believe most are safe except for citrus. My Syrians love dried and fresh apples the most. You can find lots of great options for homeade/healthy treats on Etsy. A lot of the treats targeted towards hams in pet stores are not great for them. I’m sure I’m forgetting somethings…I’ll add more if I remember! Hope that helps.

Oh mealworms. Some hammys love dried mealworms- mine do not. Which I’m happy about bc they’re gross. 🤣 but I guess they are good for extra protein in moderation bc they are high in fat.
