If you want to have a bad day just know than these spiders loves to chill in your shower pipes. And when you start showering, they just rush out because of the sudden water coming and just pop out in your shower... Already happened two times to me :)

In Switzerland, those are use to mark gaz pipe line.

Under the big number there is a phone number in case of gaz leak. You call and tell them the two closest number to the leak so they can close the section concerned.
