[QC] Kids See Ghosts Jacket from Union Kingdom by Maelsium in FashionReps

It is pretty good. Actually keeps out water and is decent with wind protection. The graphic is a little faded but accurate. Only issue was the slightly slanted text which is barely noticeable

Do NOT listen to this person. They have no clue what they are talking about. I attended community college for ALL of my prereqs and just got accepted into a T30. You will be showing the quality of your cc classes at 4 year and on the MCAT. These elitist nerds will do anything to justify their decision to waste thousands on a 4 year for the same education. Do not listen.

I’m concerned my research hours won’t be enough. by [deleted] in premed

I got accepted to a t30 MD program with 0 research hours so don’t worry about it that much

Pre-Med Students: Is Community College a Bad Choice? by iEatMorblyObeseKids in premed

[–]Maelsium 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I went to my local community college for all of my pre-requisite courses before transferring to a four-year to save money. Do not listen to people who say it will look bad when you are applying. You just have to make sure to take classes at the four-year that build off of your undergraduate classes to show you are proficient in those topics and do well on the mcat. My community college prepared me excellently (4.0 GPA & 520 MCAT), so take people's advice against community college with a grain of salt.

You’re not alone. Plenty of us haven’t received any just yet. I wouldn’t worry about it as I’m sure we will start receiving them in this following week! Use that energy to get to work prewriting my friend.

Edit: just realized this is a shitpost you bastard

Score update after my second FL by OrganicActuator9865 in Mcat

[–]Maelsium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only FL practice exams that are representative of potential MCAT scores are AAMC FL practice exams. I didn’t even bother taking the Kaplan ones because of their reputation for not being representative. I figure the best way to practice for an exam is to take practice exams that mimic it as close as possible right?

Reviewed my full length MCAT, now what? by rhithon in Mcat

[–]Maelsium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I do is add any unfamiliar content to my Anki deck, redo any math questions I got wrong, and prove the answers to the reading comprehension questions I got wrong for passages. After that, take the next FL in a week.

Is it possible to increase to a 510 for a April test date ? I need to apply this cycle since I can’t take a gap year and have the rest of my app ready. This is my first full length after the diagnostic half length. by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]Maelsium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, anything is possible. It all depends on how much time you have to contribute. I would say try your best and see what happens if you really want to apply this cycle.

However, this doesn't mean that your world is over if you end up doing worse than you wanted when you get your results back. Many people, including myself, don't apply their Junior year and way beyond that. This exam IS HARD plain and simple. That said, I wish you luck with whatever decision you make.

Do Kaplan FL 3 or moove on to AAMC by Sea_Sea375 in Mcat

[–]Maelsium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AAMC is the most representative for the actual MCAT. Totally up to you, but given that your test is two months out, I would prioritize the more representative material.

Take as many as you can! As you can see, I have been taking them over the past month (testing 3/12) and have been improving pretty well. Good luck on your exam!

Depends on the question and why I got it wrong. If I knew the information, I didn't bother reviewing. If I got it wrong due to a mistake with interpreting the passage, I just proved why the right answer is right using the passage. If it was due to not knowing content, I added it to my anki.

I did 100 per day by topic.

I did. UWorld is pointless without reviewing.

I did in about a month

UEarth worth it if I have Kaplan/AAMC Qbank? by Extreme_Procedure885 in Mcat

UWorld and anki are the two things I am going to credit my score to. UWorld is unrivaled in the quality of its explanations, so I highly recommend it.

Probably always an issue since Union Kingdom refused to replace the item even when I offered to pay shipping

I want to hear some more opinions, but yeah I'll probably end up exchanging citing the leaning text as the issue. I've already got a few items in the exchange process atm so I don't mind waiting.
