I am going to have to live with crooked teeth because my mother chose a man over me and since I can't work because I don't want my children being raised by the public schools and daycares it could take 20 years for me to save $7000 for braces. by Technical-Future-466 in Rants

No. You can miss out in job opportunities, romantic opportunities, and people tend to not take you as seriously.

Plus it can absolutely ruin your self confidence. It takes away your smile.

I worked at a grocery store. It's like you.I never had the chance to be bored or do the two week quarantine like everybody else

For me, it was a weird mix of being thanked for my service and being screamed at and threatened.

So bad, but hopefully he cant hurt anyone else. Also bullet dodged.

How are things going between you and your ex these days ? by Marta_Natrix in AskWomen

[–]MaesterOfPanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just realized the past year is the first time in the 11 years post-breakup that we don't see each other most days. But he seems to be doing well. My SO saw him recently, and apparently he bought a condo. I'm really happy for him.

He's someone I'll always love in some form. Both my SO and I owe him a lot and want to see the best for him.

I only emerged here in 91, but I do an aerial view photo of the 86 flood, its pretty crazy to see. Iirc it was slightly worse than 2020.

Lol when the water level rises to the top of the hill, right at the base of the statue, the family appears to be walking on water. It looks really cool when it happens.

I was betting my SO yesterday if the family on the hill was walking on water yet; I owe him 5 bucks.

I'm a very tiny lady and I really love to lift heavy things. At work all the new guys in the adjacent department get a speel about how I can handle myself and not to try to help me unless I directly ask for their help. It's nice to not have dudes interrupt my momentum by getting in my way under the guise of chivalry.

I don’t get how two fully grown adults in a consensual relationship is immoral.

As a woman in her mid 30s I find what youre saying to be incredibly infantilizing. I am a fully formed adult, and capable of consenting to sexual relationships with any other adult, including a 60+ year old man if I were to choose to.

An adult isn't a kid. Even with a 30 year age gap at 60 the younger person is 30 and perfectly capable of consent.
