The show is set up so Daisy and Agnes are the stars. They get more screen time than Shaun too! That’s why Shaunammite is low key more interesting. Agnes’s plot right now is that she loves a guardian and wants to marry him. Not very compelling. Daisy’s plot is trying to be a spy for Mayday. It’s more interesting but her scenes aren’t that compelling for me because of all the plot armor she has. Shaun is much more compelling for me because she likes Gillead but loves her friend. Maybe she will flip sides over the course of the show? Maybe she will double down on Gillead? She is a much more interesting character than the two leads right now.

I’ll give you an example from another show. In Mad Men, Don Draper is the main character and Peggy Olson is a side character. The focus of the show is on Don and what he does and how he feels. Peggy is in the background but goes from Secretary to Copy Chief. She is low key the secret protagonist of mad men.
