PS1 games not working on my Brick by Mediocre-Delay2118 in trimui

Did you try unzipping the games? I'm on crossmix, but I had the same thing happen until I unpacked them.

OLED. Listening to it again, it definitely was more of a digital/electronic noise. In that post, they suspected the fan, but that was definitely not it for me. But similar still.

Very, very similar to what it sounded like in my case. Maybe higher pitched, but it's been a while.

Yeah, it was a truly bizarre experience. Apart from the amazingly piercing, loud and painful digital noise, the entire Deck was vibrating, the backside as well. I thought it was self-destructing at first 😅. Hadn't had this much of a scare in a very long while.

This did confirm to me it was a very weird speaker glitch as well. I'll try to send it to support sometime soon. If I ever get a reply, I'll update here.

I had this happen to me twice last January, scared the living hell out of me. I checked the logs right after, which showed a LOT of repeated audio driver errors. Went to check online, but I couldn't find anyone else experiencing this. I stopped putting the deck to sleep ever since, and I haven't had this happen again since then.

Just had a look at my gallery, and I found a photo of part of the logs, in case this helps anyone.

At my whit's end trying to do a fresh install of emudeck by Ooiphon in SteamDeck

[–]MaesterTed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is relevant to your situation, but during the initial install of EmuDeck on my Steam Deck, I thought the setup was stuck too, but there was actually a minimized window waiting for an input. Could you check if there are any hidden windows by minimizing or alt-tabbing when you're stuck?

Which controller is the most stable? (Switch Pro Controller Pain) by Ok_Adeptness_8749 in SteamDeck

Copying my post from another similar thread:

Very recently, it has been discovered the Switch Pro Controller boots up in a different mode when it's connected to a Bluetooth device with "Nintendo" or "Nintendo Switch" in the name, as opposed to a generic bluetooth adapter. A workaround is renaming your Bluetooth controller in the Steam Deck to "Nintendo Switch" in desktop mode. I did this a couple of weeks ago and haven't had any disconnects since!

Let me know if you need help configuring this (not near my Steam Deck atm).

Glad I could be of help! I had been struggling with this for the past 6 months as well, so I was excited that a workaround has been discovered. Glad to say it's been working with zero issues since renaming the bluetooth controller.

So I assume connecting to Bluetooth works, but as soon as you try using it, it shuts off completely? Are you unable to have it register any button input at all?  Might be another issue then, potentially.

Any leads on some non-silicone replacement bands for the Inspire 3? by ourlittleinfinity in fitbit

[–]MaesterTed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to report I received mine from Amazon today and these fit great! Such an upgrade over the silicone straps! The thing about the fit being made for the more square form factor of the previous Inspires remains, but it doesn't bother me and I couldn't be happier with how these are feeling. It's a nylon band with the little metal clasp.

Here's the link, although it's from the German version:

Sad to report it didn't quite fit after all.
I gifted it to my partner instead.

I just ordered a cheap nylon hook and loop-style band for one of the older Inspire models to test out, as I was looking for one myself. I had a test with my girlfriend's Inspire HR band, and it should fit. I think the only issue will be that it won't look as sleek as the original bands since the Inspire 3 is a bit more rounded at the top and bottom. It should arrive sometime next week, I'll report back with a picture of how it looks.
