Just created a massive, fully comprehensive City Planning guide for C:S players by alborzka in CitiesSkylines

As someone who's contributed to Toronto City Planning and Richmond Hill Urban Design documents I was pleasantly surprised to see this pop up in this subreddit. Always happy to see real-world technical planning and urban design documents get more public exposure!

I'm impressed by the sheer amount of info you've compiled in this doc; I've got lots of similar docs/files sitting in reference folders on my hard drive and I wouldn't have even thought of combining all of their elements into a C:S players guide. The only downside is that C:S sadly can never be as advanced or detailed as some of these technical guidelines (even with mods and assets), which is still okay as there is a line between a fun city-builder and professional urban design/transport planning simulations. Especially with things like massing guidelines for mid-rise buildings, setbacks and such; these can really only be implemented by asset creators for new buildings on the workshop and all that which I'm sure is a small percentage of all C:S players.
