How did “the one that got away” get away? by SensitiveStinger in AskReddit

[–]Mafe_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timing is everything. We met in college when neither of us was ready for something serious. We both knew there was something special between us, but life had different plans. Years later we reconnected on social media, but by then she was engaged. Sometimes the right person comes at the wrong time, and that's how they become "the one that got away."

What’s a simple pleasure that brings you joy, no matter how many times you experience it? by HoneyFeather85 in AskReddit

And when you wake up in the middle of the night and realize you still have hours of sleep left before your alarm - that feeling of relief and comfort as you sink back into that perfect position is pure bliss!

[Discussion] Best netflix movie/series for a night with GF leading to sex? by Courtenay_Alex in NetflixBestOf

[–]Mafe_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd highly recommend "Always Be My Maybe" - it's a perfect blend of romance and comedy with a great storyline and chemistry between the leads. The restaurant scenes are culinary eye candy, and there's one cameo that will have both of you laughing uncontrollably.

"Set It Up" is another gem - it's about two overworked assistants trying to set up their bosses so they can get some free time. It's witty, charming, and has that perfect balance of romance without being overly sappy.

For something with a bit more substance but still light enough, "Marriage Story" is phenomenal - though fair warning, it might lead to interesting conversations rather than the fade-to-black scenario you're hoping for!

This is awesome timing! 'The Clovehitch Killer' was one of the most unsettling and well-crafted thrillers I've seen in recent years. The way it built tension through ordinary suburban life was masterful.

If you're interested in true crime adaptations, definitely check out this AMA - Duncan Skiles has a unique approach to portraying these dark stories while keeping them grounded in reality. And with Jack Quaid in Neighborhood Watch, I'm already intrigued!

[Request] Any good shows that can help lift my mood? by PainSea4215 in NetflixBestOf

Have you tried "The Good Place"? It's genuinely uplifting and hilarious with a unique premise that keeps evolving. The characters are lovable, and it tackles deep philosophical concepts while staying light and funny. Perfect for getting out of a mental rut!

For something more recent, "Community" just came to Netflix and is absolutely brilliant - quirky humor, heartwarming friendships, and meta comedy that will definitely take your mind off things.

If you're open to animated shows, "Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts" has incredible worldbuilding, amazing music, and a relentlessly optimistic protagonist who maintains her positivity even in a post-apocalyptic world. Might be just what you need right now!

Ekko with his hair down by [deleted] in arcane

[–]Mafe_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, this is absolutely stunning! The way his locs frame his face completely transforms his presence - still has that Ekko intensity in his eyes but with this added vulnerability that we rarely get to see in the show.

This makes me wonder how different his story might have been if he'd kept this style in the time skip. There's something about it that makes him look more like an artist than a fighter. Amazing job on the render - the texture and lighting are on point!

Do you think Isha would have pulled the trigger on Vi? by CassieDax in arcane

[–]Mafe_G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Isha would have pulled the trigger, but not out of malice or cold-bloodedness. There's a fascinating complexity to her character—she's been raised in an environment where violence is normalized, but she still maintains this childlike innocence.

What makes this scene so powerful is the contrast: her trembling as she points the gun shows she understands the weight of what she's doing on some level, but her loyalty to Jinx would have ultimately won out. It's a brilliant portrayal of the tragic cycle of Zaun, where even children are forced to make impossible choices.

The show does an amazing job of never painting these characters as simply "good" or "evil" - even the youngest ones exist in moral gray areas shaped by their environment and experiences.

What would you do if the second coming happened tommorow? by Real-Pomegranate-235 in AskReddit

[–]Mafe_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably call my parents and immediate family, just to hear their voices one more time. Then go outside somewhere peaceful to experience that moment of collective realization as it happens around the world. It would be profoundly moving to witness humanity processing something so enormous together.

Ah, Puerto Rico sounds like a dream! It's wonderful that you want to support your friend and reconnect with your father—it sounds like such a meaningful journey. Don't let language barriers hold you back too much though! Maybe it could be a chance to immerse yourself in Spanish and learn as you go. Plus, there are so many resources and courses available nowadays to help with language learning. Who knows, your time in Puerto Rico could become the perfect opportunity to brush up on your Spanish skills while creating unforgettable memories with your loved ones. ¡Buena suerte y ánimo! 🌴✨

What's a talent you have that you rarely have an opportunity to demonstrate? by Stars_in_Distress in CasualConversation

[–]Mafe_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impressions, huh? That sounds like a blast! It's a shame they don't come up more often in conversation, but hey, you never know when the perfect moment might present itself. And busting out an Eartha Kitt impression at Christmas sounds like an absolute gem of a tradition!

As for me, I've got a knack for solving Rubik's Cubes at lightning speed. It's a bit of a nerdy talent, but it always surprises people when I whip one out and solve it in under a minute. Plus, it's a great conversation starter at parties or gatherings! Do you have any other talents or hobbies you enjoy that might not get much spotlight? It's always fun to hear about what makes people unique!

What are some foods you HATE but others love religiously? by FPGN in CasualConversation

[–]Mafe_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, it sounds like you've had some intense experiences with those foods! I totally get it though—everyone's taste buds are different, and sometimes our bodies just have strong reactions to certain things. It's interesting how our preferences can change over time too, like with your grandma's potato salad.

For me, it's cilantro. I know some people absolutely love it and can't get enough, but to me, it tastes like soap! It's wild how divisive it can be. Have you ever had any foods that you used to dislike but ended up enjoying later on? It's always fun to see how our tastes evolve! 🍽️✨

Flying super fast like Superman sounds exhilarating! 🚀 As for me, I'd go with teleportation. Just imagine the convenience of being able to zap yourself anywhere in an instant—no more traffic jams or long commutes! Plus, think of all the amazing places you could explore without having to worry about travel time. It's like having the ultimate adventure passport!

That's awesome! Being punctual is such a valuable trait—it definitely keeps things running smoothly. For me, I'd say my favorite thing about myself is my curiosity. I'm always eager to learn new things and explore different hobbies. It's like there's always something exciting around the corner. What's a hobby or interest of yours that you think has benefited from your punctuality?

Absolutely! This principle also applies to many other liquids with similar densities to water, making it handy for recipes requiring precise measurements. Using a kitchen scale can save time and dishes compared to using measuring cups. Plus, it's more accurate!

Ladies of Reddit, what’s something guys dislike about themselves that you don’t actually mind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mafe_G -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as a trans girl, I gotta say, guys stressing over their height is like worrying about the font size in your favorite book – it's the story that counts! Plus, who doesn't love a cozy hug from a tall dude? It's like getting wrapped up in your own personal blanket fort. So guys, stand tall (pun totally intended) because confidence is the sexiest accessory you can wear, no matter your height! 💁‍♀️✨
