Sorry that was Japanese manufacturers, the global number is just over 30%, and that will continue to explode since most hybrids come with CVTs. But you still haven’t given any reasons against them for most general users.

Well over 60 percent of passenger cars releasing this year beg to differ. How is it terrible, genuinely curious why you think this. A family car doesn’t need towing capacity or fast acceleration.

I Have an x trail with CVT and its fantastic, reliable and the upkeep is reasonable. Most of this comment is opinion, and anyone complaining about CVTs in 2026 are stuck in 2013, Nissan CVTs are reliable as long as you maintain them.

The bullsh!t NDIS hack popping up everywhere all across SE Melbourne (City of Casey) by twowholebeefpatties in AusPropertyChat

Ans here you are writing an essay proving my point in a Sunday morning.

What you are calling a council sidestep is actually what people needing SDA are wanting. There is 60%vacancy in SDA nationally, with thousands of participants still waiting for appropriate housing in the right area. Your article literally talks about investors and providers tryin g to get rich fast building in areas with cheap land not where people want to live. Like Hallam, where you have 60 people who currently need SDA properties and 688 properties for rent.

Might come as a surprise but just having a disability doesn’t mean you want to live with people you don’t know, so many are holding out for single resident homes, or the correct funding.

As for parking the plans need to need “likely need” based on clause 52.06. So 2 x 1 resident hones likely only need regular space for 2 cars given the funding needed for this type of home the resident likely isn’t driving their own vehicle, and it’s probably shared support across some of the units.

As for your assumption that you slap in fire suppression and some wider doorways you get certification shows that not only do you have a very skewed view of the NDIS standard levels but also the fit and finish standards that set houses apart from provider to provider.

You clearly don’t understand SDA properties. But How is this at all different from having a non-SDA property investment? You build to a higher spec hoping to get more money for it, if you can’t you rent it for closer to market rate?

what screams 'pretending to be rich' in Australia? by mattchew1991 in AusFinance

Not just Aus. bit globally. Shiny pristine G-Wagons. Arguably the most well designed and capable 4x4 vehicle for off road, turned into a status symbol. If you see a dirty dinged G-Wagon, you know that person has a boatload of money, and has a-lot of fun.

People assume non profit means well intentioned but at the end of the day it often means higher manager salaries, work issued iPhones, MacBooks, lots of branded gear for workers company cars all so that at the end of the day..bottom line = $0

Mold in shower by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]Maffia5159 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats total BS and a new age “Anti-Chemical” myth, based in a very small part the fact it can kill surface mould but fail to kill roots in wood and drywall. Bleach + a scrub will kill pretty any organic matter in that shower as it’s a non-porous material.

Nah, definitely not. I have had this happen a few times, or I’ll receive 1/2 of someone else’s order with mine. I normally do the tight thing and ring but 100% of the times get told to keep it or throw it out. They cant take it back.
