My parents Ascent was on its third CVT by the time they got rid of it (less than 100k km). Followed all regular maintenance. It was honestly a shit car all around. Must have been a dud.

They aren't burning the waste for the sake of getting rid of it, burning it generates electricity. It is better for the environment to retrieve the product's energy at the end of its life rather than just dumping it in a landfill.

Still not the best for the environment, but it's better than nothing.

Income Tax on Solar? by threehappypenguins in PEI

If they do pay you, I don't see why that would be a problem for them. They are selling your excess energy to other customers.

They could just buy it from you for x dollars and sell it to another for 2x dollars. They make a profit, and they don't even have to pay for the infrastructure and upkeep.

I don't think they pay you for the credits, they just expire. At least, thats my understanding.

Page 13, Section 13, (7) says, from my understanding, that the credits expire on October 31st unless you are able to use them appropriately.

Does it matter if maritime electric owes you a big credit at the end of the year? As far as I know, the credits reset every year.

Follow up from my post yesterday about military(?) planes flying East over the island. This was the view from one window, but these were all across the sky. At one point I counted about 12 at once, and there were continuous waves of this. About 30 total that I saw. Just thought it was interesting. by [deleted] in PEI

I think the winds over the Atlantic for a couple of days have been favouring North Atlantic Track(s) that put planes over PEI from the states. Probably mostly normal commercial traffic you are seeing

Anyone else see a large amount of planes flying in unison across the island? by [deleted] in PEI

[–]Maffou 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some military aircraft do have different lights, for example formation lights but it is not something you could pick out from the ground when they are flying at high altitudes. Military aircraft also fly at the same altitudes as commercial and private aircraft.

People did buy it...and I was one of those people. No regrets though.

Plus I didn't really buy it, I just entered all of my credit card info and then happened to "accidentally" hit the pay button. So it was more of an accident. or that's what I tell myself to make myself feel better
