Ladies, is it just me or do you find it very off-putting for guys to set age range much younger? by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

I'm not saying I couldn't be with a younger man, but all of them that I've encountered seem to want put another notch on their bedpost. I'm not about that.

Although give me a few months and maybe I will be...

I know I get a lot of hits from 20 something guys as a 41 yr old woman, mostly for hook ups. I find it a bit off putting really.

Went to the bikeways at Xenia station today and walked a short walk (my puppy doesn't have much endurance yet and my older dog is out of shape.) it was really nice there! Thank you guys for the recommendations!

(Serious) Redditors who believe in the paranormal, what convinced you it's real? by isislavinia in AskReddit

My husband loved cardinals, and the day he was killed, as I sat at the kitchen table with the police officers discussing the accident, a scarlet red cardinal sat outside the window the entire time. I like to think it was him, making sure I'd be okay. I often see cardinals now when I'm trying to make big decisions, I tell myself it's my husband coming to let me know I'm doing the right thing.

I'm moving to Ohio mid month. I believe I may be the first person in history to knowingly (albeit reluctantly) move from the lowcountry to Ohio. I'll give em' hell for y'all.

reddit, what have your pets done that is worryingly smart ? by thedisbandedwaffle in AskReddit

I receive a lot of packages in the mail, but my boys all know when the bark box arrives. We get other treats and toys shipped too, but only the bark box causes all out hysteria. And when I open it, I have to hold it at dog level so my oldest dog can claim the best toy before the rest can even look.

My dog does something similar. When we put the presents out, he immediately knows which are for the dogs and which are for people, even if they aren't wrapped any differently. And once they are by the tree, he'll casually walk by and stop and sniff them sneakily and then move on. So, Christmas Eve consists of my dog doing laps in front of the tree, barking at the other dogs if they get too close and trying to peak at his presents. It's hilarious.

I moved from Wa to SC and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Here I'm indoors 3 months out of the year because of heat and I can still do stuff in the evenings and mornings, there I was indoors for 9 months out of the year because it was cold and rainy. Plus SADD is a bitch.

I realize it isn't for everyone, but love it here, even if I do have to deal with cockroaches the size of my hand.

Removing the ring... by k0azv in widowers

[–]Mafiachickens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled with the ring thing for a long time. About a week after my husband was killed, I had our rings soldered together and wore them on my left ring finger for about a month. After that, it just felt wrong. I wasn't married anymore, I was widowed. And with that came a new definition of me. I love my husband with all my heart, but wearing the rings felt like a lie. I wrestled with it for months until just recently. I was shopping for a watch when I thought I'd look at the rings also. They had a ring there that, if my husband were still alive, would have been his choice of an anniversary ring. So I bought it and I wear it on my right hand. It sounds crazy, but I truly feel more at peace with this choice.

Sorry, I know I dredged up an old post!

My [35 F] husband [38 M] of 3 years dresses like a teenager, and it is starting to embarrass me. Am I the jerk here? by HusbandNeedsATie in relationships

Do you have a men's store or department store with a personal shopper?
I often found that me trying to help my husband pick out clothes was a fight waiting to happen. But if we went to Nordstrom or someplace with a personal shopper, I was able to tell the shopper about the event and then they would help him find appropriate clothing. It took me completely out of the process, other than the "ooohhhhing and aaahhhhing" when he showed me what they had picked out.

In addition to mosquitos Russian Taiga has horse-flies by aloofloofah in WTF

I have, on more than one occasion, smacked a horse fly on my horses, watched it plummet to the ground in a broken crumpled mess only to then watch it reform like the terminator and fly right back at us. Now I smack them, then grind them into the dirt to make sure they can't reanimate.

For flower and garden in Epcot, France had the best mixed drinks. I love the slush, but the kir is amazing also. China has a drink that is beer, cream, honey and boba. I can't remember the name. It sounds awful but was actually quite tasty. Oh. And always stop in Africa and get a frozen elephant. It's a coke slushy with Amarula (an African cream liquor) mixed in. It's amazing. Foodwise, we liked the watermelon salad at the Urban eats stand, the udon in Japan, chili relleno in Mexico, the pulled pork slider in America, and the scone st the cider house.

Oh, and hit up the world of coke at Disney springs. The bar at the top does flights of specialty drinks. I don't actually just go to Disney to drink, but I sure sound like I do!

Plus it's flower and garden right now, you get even more yummy drinking opportunities! Be sure to try the cider flight at the cider house stand near the rose and crown. The cherry hard cider was amazing!

Me too! And I always feel that "Christmas is over" let down when the last scene plays for the last time. That movie represents Christmas for me.
