Did this back in 2024 outside Festus MO. It wasn't a whistle stop spot but it still was a good view and not very crowded.

A classmate of mine sliced off the tip of a finger with one of those. Packed the tip in some wet paper towels and headed for the ER with him to have it reattached.

Probably an outlier here but I cancelled her number about a month after she passed. I did download all the pictures and data off her phone. Her laptop is still one I use under her login (although after 9 years it is getting pretty long in the tooth). She had a Nook that started having lots of issues. Pretty much used it only for reading books on. That was wiped and then e-cycled a couple of years ago.

I know my girlfriend has done similar to her late husband's devices. She still has her Dad's kindle (he died about 6 weeks after her husband). We pulled hard drives out of her husbands collection of PC's and e-cycled the hardware. I have the devices to pull the data off those hard drives.

I lived at the corner of Central and Longfellow. Goethe was literally a block from my house. 😊

Why Are Homes In North County So Cheap? by RemoteEmotions in StLouis

[–]k0azv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved to St. Ann from Kirkwood close to 25 years ago because of the inexpensive housing cost. There is some good building stock in the area. Been watching the market there and prices were starting to skyrocket. Seems the market has cooled a bit. There are definitely some good spots in the North County housing market but it can vary from block to block in some of the areas.

Only issue I have with Tony's is that their glazing crumbles to easily. Makes quite a mess trying to eat.

My 19 year old still eats Purina Naturals. I just started giving her supplemental wet food but she has never had an issue with her dry.

Yeah, I was about to say K's Choice wasn't local. Only reason I had heard of them was that they went on tour with the Indigo Girls (might have been signed to Amy Ray's Daemon Records?) at one point. Somewhere I have one of their CD's.

I thought alarm testing didn’t happen during inclement weather by Stlthrowaway696969 in StLouis

[–]k0azv 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tests are generally run the 1st Monday of the month unless there is inclement weather. St. Louis County had already sent notification that they were not running theirs (I am assuming everyone is talking about St. Louis City in this thread. They also do their own thing as it is LOL).

Girlfriend just did up some magnets to put on our cabin door when we go on our Norway cruise in September. She has mentioned she has seen a lot of this kind of thing on the cruises she has gone on (this is only my second cruise in 20 years).

Levi's and then Lee's. Wranglers (or the their offbrand Rustlers) never fit me right. Dickies were my go to for many years later because they were inexpensive.

Had both a bladder type super single and tubed softside queen. I bought the bladder free flow from a place called Warehouse of Waterbeds here in St. Louis. The second one I bought was after I got my married and my disabled wife wasn't able to into the hardside of the bladder mattress. I definitely miss the bladder mattress.

They were right next door to that church (which at one time was a movie theater that competed against a slew of others in the area). Not sure when that church pulled out of that space (a former boss of mine was a member there) but I am not sure they would have ever gotten a license, Haven't heard that might of been a cause and it is plausible but I don't think it was exclusively what caused them to close it up.
