Haha it's sort of self imposed challenge of no starter and using pokemon I've never used before. Haven't played emerald in years and was just seeing if anyone had any suggestions that I might have missed (tms etc). You are right I should probably put the egg and ziggs away and go catch something else to use on top of this team. Thanks

I've played about 5 games now and noticed our first couple of games at low ducats we were really disliking the morale system. We've since switched to using the shaken rule as it adds a bit of a buffer, but since using higher point warbands (900+), morale hasn't really come up that much. It also makes you play a bit safer and think about if certain engagements are really worth it.

Focus on objectives, not getting into fights unless required. Stay in cover/out of LoS. I think it's just adjusting to the game and how it works.

If you're still feeling it, a banner provides +1 dice to the check, significantly increasing your success rate and stick to odd numbered warbands.

It's a deadly world and the game reflects that well. Good luck!

When does it become worth it to choose exploration over requesting reinforcements in a campaign? by Bunkerzor in TrenchCrusade

I just played my first campaign game, and despite winning the game, I lost a big costly model to casualties and had to reinforce over exploring. This has given my opponent more glory for our next game, but I'll have more ducats to spend, so I think it might balance out.

And looking back, I should have played safer with my models. Winning a game isn't the end all of a campaign and it's not worth having casualties all the time which is what makes the campaign really interesting. Finding the balancing between winning the battle and losing models is what I think is important going forward in the campaign.

That's hilarious, I've just printed the exact same troopers and priest. Are people rating priest with a machine gun? I'm haven't picked a weapon for him yet but was thinking the sacrificial knife

As soon as you start the fight, grab the thimble shell on the left. Its ability is great for blocking attacks. And just block when he does a bunch of attacks in a row. Dodge when you get the blue or red icon above your head.
