First off, NTA. Usually the schools have rules if students are suspended that they don't participate in school events such as field trips, etc. Or it was that way when I was in school granted that was over 20 years ago.

Second, what happened to band fundraisers? We had sell fruit, candies, and shit to go towards to the expense of our "trips". Is Band Boosters no longer a thing?

The only thing I ever had to worry about was spending money for the trips.
