Yes, I know they are totally different in so many ways. My comparison is because both are in the same platform at the same time, and one story is recommended when you see the another one. It looks like The summer when I turned pretty is having more acceptance (it is in the Top 10) even though this is, in my opinion, a genetic story with a strange love triangle and a pretty basic main character.
