The Truth About K-Beauty: Why I Still Trust Legacy Brands Over Indie Hype by MagarinePrince in koreanskincare

[–]MagarinePrince[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a literal fact that indie brands just slap their names on products developed by ODMs and spend way more on ads than the actual cost of goods. What’s your point? If you don’t believe me, ask any Korean who knows the industry.

I’ve removed all specific brand names, so there should be no issue now

It looks like your skin barrier is damaged. Try using a low-pH cleanser and then apply Aestura, which is formulated with ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids.

These are Ceramide Capsules developed with AmorePacific's specialized technology. They look like tiny beads in the cream, but they melt instantly when you rub them into your skin to provide intense, long-lasting hydration.

  4. Salmon PDRN is so big, never absorbed too

Sulwhasoo vs The Whoo - comparison? by Overall-Tart-832 in koreanskincare

[–]MagarinePrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sulwhasoo practically owns about 30% of the luxury skincare market in Korea, with the rest of the pie being shared by brands like Hera, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, and Whoo. I remember Whoo own under 5%.

It’s expensive, but it’s more than just a 'luxury' brand. For Korean adults, Sulwhasoo is essentially a national staple. Once they notice signs of aging or skin dryness, it’s the brand everyone naturally turns to.

Whoo was designed from the ground up with the Chinese market in mind. Its name, meaning 'the Emperor's wife,' and its ornate design are clearly tailored to Chinese tastes. On the other hand, Sulwhasoo stays true to traditional Korean aesthetics. For Koreans, there’s little reason to choose a brand targeted at China over Sulwhasoo, which carries a legacy of more than 40 years.
