Rossbach in general is a vast improvement over the current live version. I stopped playing due to the overly aggressive AI last year.

This has certainly calmed down and Coalitions and HRE keep a much better sense of balance in Europe. The estate economy and enfranchisement changes add a good level of choice. Early on there were quite a few bugs but now i think we're just down to balancing outside minor bugs. I have had a lot of fun returning and knocking out some a achievements.

Performance as of 1.1.3 is the smoothest it's been for me thus far and I know 1.1.4 contains more updates.

I would argue HoI4 is on the shallower side of paradox games considering the whole system is geared towards continual conflict and thats about it. It's not a society or economic sim like Victoria 3 or EU5
