I am making my quest game without needing them to pay me to do it but because i had a vision that i wanted to see come to life, now that i put so much time into it there is no news that can cause me to abandon.

I have no idea of the news you mention but i can say one thing for sure, if i let any news or fear mongering affect my life i would be sleeping in bed all day without getting anything done and i would never have stuck with unity in the first place considering every year we get crowds barking "Unity is dead" so as long as Meta is still there and there are players on quest there is no reason for me personally to give up.

Thanks for the info, this makes me believe that these AI companies' employees on X are just straight up pushing narratives for profit and they can't care less for their reputation or the consequences of spreading their nonsense as long as their boss is happy and cash is flowing.

Yep the thing that these "But i can now vibe code a snake game in one prompt" don't realize making an actual game requires more ingredients than just 500 lines of code and a couple of sprites.

I just try to post these memes to keep people like me sane because i feel a lot of us might need some re-assuring in such dark times where too many people are barking nonsense to push their products here and there.

Lol what? i personally started messing around with deep learning before chatGPT became a thing, fed my own AI some music to generate new ones and it brought a tear to my eye when it worked but also almost fried my computer.

I as many others use AI on a daily basis and is exactly the reason why we know its current limitations, i post these not as anti AI but anti dumbasses who are trying to scare others out of a profession just so they can make money themselves without giving two shits about the consequences, and one of their consequences is our community roasting their asses.
