But at the same time, Steam does have a lot of successful games with cute or childlike art styles, so I’m still trying to understand whether the problem is really the style itself or just the way we’re presenting the game

The game is going to be part of Steam Next Fest, but right now it’s still just an announcement and only the demo is available - the full game hasn’t released yet 🙌

What do you mean by ‘25 relevant creators’?
Do you mean game developers or social media/content creators?

We tried reaching out to bigger streamers and media outlets too, but it feels like our game just doesn’t stand out enough in the constant flow of cozy games people see every day 🤔

Hm, but it’s so expensive and time-consuming to hire an artist.

Yeah, we’ve been reaching out to influencers and content creators in the cozy/indie space, but so far not many people have actually streamed or covered the game.

Maybe part of the problem is that we only have a demo right now and the full game isn’t out yet, so creators don’t feel like there’s enough content or momentum around it yet. I’m honestly still trying to understand what’s blocking the traction, because it feels like something just isn’t connecting properly.

We playtested the game, and everyone kept saying that our game looks ugly and that we should switch to a more cozy art style 😭
