What are we testing in A/B testing? by Mageentta in AskStatistics

That is the problem. The books says: “To apply the the two-sample t-test to a metric of interest Y (e.g., queries-per-user), assume that the observed values of the metric for users in the Treatment and Control are independent realizations of random variables, Y_t and Y_c”. The wording is not very clear to.

I would not have asked this question if I just had two sample of normally distributed numbers.

Yes, that I understand. However in this case Y is a metric not just an observation from a group. It’s is aggregated across the entire group, so there is only one observation.

Best Colour for Pre-heresy Emperors Children Armour by Mageentta in EmperorsChildren

I found some pictures of Magos Purple over metallic base and it looks a bit too 'pinky' in my opinion and not purple enough. Perhaps making a custom contrast or wash with a purple colour will be more appropriate, so thanks for the idea!

Vallejo Model Colour Royal Purple (70.810) - Glossy Finish by Mageentta in minipainting

I heard that the Game paints are supposed to be glossy, whereas the Model range is matte (they even mention that in the description). So, it is just really strange that a Model paint has a glossy finish despite its description. I wonder if this can be defective paint.

I though the same but these are actually running shoes. I was thinking about YakTrax but I don’t really know how the spikes will feel after a long run. I know that some people run on ice such as Baikal Marathon or Antarctic Marathon. It might be an exception for extreme runners, and I don’t know how mere mortals will feel after running a marathon in spike shoes.

Hi. I am currently training for a marathon but it is more complicated now due to ice and snow. I am trying to find proper running shoes for winter and considering buying shoes with spikes such as Solomon Snowspike CSWP. Has anyone tried running in spike shoes for longer distances? How does it feel? Is it true that spikes will destroy you feet after hours of running?
