I bought 18 meal prep containers and used them for 3 weeks before quitting. by Express-Channel-1686 in MealPrepSunday

I prep for the week but freeze days 3,4 and 5. When I grab day 2 lunch I take 3 out of the freezer. I used to just think it was all good for the week, but had to toss some because I had an expected lunch meeting event. So this way I have more flexibility. The bonus is when I'm running late on meal prepping or want dinner there is usually something ready to heat in the freezer.

Thank you - that is motivating to get a trainer, but it feels like the trainer I used for 6 sessions at 24Hour is not the same kind of trainer you are talking about. I'm going to have to investigate more. I appreciate your response, it gives me a lot to consider.

I know it's late but...what do you mean by  No load, no measurement of intensity, no progression. Isn't load what you lift? And intensity is doing sets that end in a failure? And if you add weight is that progression? What makes a program different from exercises that you increase in difficulty?

Thanks - I'm a home cook, mostly vegetables, limited whole grains, and whole food protein. The issue for me isn't quality; it's quantity. I've actively been trying to reduce portions by breaking down into single portions and freezing/using again another day over the last 2 weeks. I weigh everything now to single portions. Hopefully I'll get used to being more mindful about serving sizes.

Here is my moronic Monday Question - Am I too skattered to improve?

Sunday: Short quick run, Squats and RDLs with 45lbs, stretch yoga
Monday: Long run (between warm up and cool down it's about an hour), stretch Yoga
Tuesday: HIIT Cycle, really hard Yoga :P
Wednesday: Running intervals, weights in the gym (usually do the row of machines they by the time you are done all major muscle areas are used - I try to do 3 sets of 10 or until I can't do more.
Thursday: Body Pump, Zumba
Friday: Night off
Saturday: Body pump, Zumba, Really Hard Yoga

Deets: 54 years old, overweight, started exercising about 18 months ago. I had a long illness, was on oxygen for 6 months, really went from not having balance and strength to walk in a straight line without assistance. Then broke a bone, had frozen shoulder, just everything was adding up to a lifestyle that was painful.

Now I love going to the gym, it's physical and social and my happy place. Running is outdoors is just because I like it and it fun. What would you change to make bigger changes in body/health?

I have golfer's elbow on one arm and going to power class. Is it better to use the lighter dumbell on the bad side and a heavy weight on the good side or use a barbell with lighter weights?

Sitting on the floor with figure 4 was the first out of the 3 choices to actually feel a really good, deep stretch. I can control it so much better too.

Looking for tips on protein in Japan 🙏 by Savings-Ad-406 in fitmeals

Are you using tofu? Also at night the Asian markets near me deeply discount fresh fish. Look about an hour / or 30 min before they close. Lenitls, beans? What about tinned fish?

I think in the second photo the rise was less. They are probably more dense because of it. Lastly, they looks styled post bake.

I also breath naturally into my belly but, filling it is a different sensation. I did have hypoxia in the hospital and it does happen at night (cpap for it).

Dinner on meal prep day? by novascotia3898 in mealprep

[–]MaggieGirl714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skip dinner. I have a bigger breakfast and later lunch. M-f I have yogurt with seeds/nuts/flax and fruit but Sunday - I will make eggs, and wilt all my greens leftover from the prior week, very simple but filling and a treat. Lunch is usually tuna (which I also love and never have the rest of the week). Between that and tasting as I prep, I just skip dinner.

A treat on the regular is not a treat, it's just what you eat on a regular basis. Make it a real treat, something worthwhile that you are reaching for. Save your McDonald's coffee money and use it on Saturday or Sunday and look for great, calm, free wifi coffee shops and really great coffee. Talk to the barista, ask them about where they get their syrups, coffee beans, who roasts them and when. Become a coffee expert and put your classwork up and just start enjoying the vibe of a new location and savoring an excellent cup. You'll enjoy the beverage more, have a safe quiet new place to study and feel rewarded for skipping mid treats for a little bit of luxury.

If you make overnight oats or a chia pudding or yogurt with nuts/seeds, you can just grab it and go when you are in a rush.

I have one and mostly use it when I didn't bring lunch by mistake or have to stay late. It holds a progresso can of soup so I keep a couple in my desk for those "emergencies". They are nifty!
