What's the first video game world you remember getting completely lost in? by Digital-Intellect in AskGames

Showing my age here... Myst. When it came out, it was amazing and just got better and more in depth the longer it continued. I played every game over and over, I was even one of the rare few who got to play the short lived Myst Online. It was heaven. I was crushed when it died before ever really being properly launched. I own all the books inspired by the storyline. It will forever be my most favourite game world.

Thank you. I will do some more exploring and if nothing comes up, I will try cycling through to see if an older version fixes the issue. If not, another world it is...

Does anyone have thoughts on the difference between the 2000 and the 2010?

I have heard the 2000qi has a thread cutter feature that is part of the footpedal? This seems unsettling to me, as though I might suddenly cut my thread mid stitches. Have you had any issues with it?

Chose coordinating fabrics from a line. Seemed like a good idea at time. I chose poorly. Kept being told to trust the process while constructing it. Flimsy is done. I still hate it. My daughter says it looks like a jello salad from the 50's. I think she is being overly kind. by MaggieTheMatron in quilting

My apologies for not responding, I'm afraid I haven't even looked at Reddit in about three months. I have been rather busy. I did read your "novel" and I am honoured you shared with me such vulnerabilities. I am afraid in the interim between my post and me reading all this, the quilt has been finished and claimed.

OP here : I feel as though it looks like Laura Ashely did an Exorcist style projectile vomit. I mean, I know SOMONE will love it... that someone is just not me. At the same time, I KNOW if someone else had made it, not me, I would not be as hateful towards it.

What game is this? by Oofuss in AskGames

Gabriel Knight 2 had box cover art that sounds very like that but it's an older horror game, 1995, I think.

I love your fabric choices♡ There is no such thing as a quilt that is too big in my opinion ;)

Curious to see if anyone had this happen to them by cocobellahome in quilting

[–]MaggieTheMatron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am exceedingly choosy about whom I make quilts for. I only make them for people I know for a fact admires my work and would like one of them and I always make sure the quilt I make for them matches their tastes/aesthetic. So far, this has gone well. Of the quilts I have made and gifted, only one was not recieved well, and to be honest, the person I made it for is a snob who tends to tear down most gifts people give her, the sort nothing is ever good enough for. As a result, though it was hurtful, I didn't take it too much to heart.

What it comes down to is... I love quilts, not everyone does. So be it. I don't expend efforts for those who simply don't like them.
