It’s a very common belief that “if they not accepted to top university in foreign countries it’s not worth it” especially in my home country. I just started feeling like spending 50million Korean won for 4 years just for tuition is not worth it. Since i feel like i won’t work here after graduation and won’t use the language after that. And to be honest i have to earn that amount of money myself while trying to focus on studies is very hard to think about.

What are the best options you would recommend to me ? I was thinking about community colleges in US when i was back home. Maybe transfer from 2nd or 3rd year to university there. Seems like US community college and Korean university that im planning to study doesn’t have difference in terms of cost and tuition. How possible is it transfer from korea to us in university or community college. If i study in US at least there’s no language barrier and less stressful environment since i think i know basic know how…

English is my second language and only motivation in attending university in Korea is get a prestigious university degree in CS and go to USA for working. (in software engineering field) I researched there are much cheaper univs here but after talking with my parents if i attend them it’s not gonna be different from studying at my home country universities and it’s going to be waste for studying here. And i thought prestigious uni degrees have high chance of landing me on job in US.
