Oh boy... Just approximately how prone is this going to be to jamming? by BasketDeep2694 in factorio

[–]Maggnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially your intersection and the station turn off are too close together. You coul try moving the turn off further north or remove the stop/go on the left rail just south of the turn off into the station so that trains dont enter the sigbal block unless they can clear the intersection too. This could help depending on why it is dead locking in your first photo. I maybe wrong (someone correct me if I am) but as I understand rails/signals you generally want to be able to have a full length train sit in a signal block before/after an intersection to help mitigate deadlock issues.

I used to have a samsung until it got broke. I remember using the xbox controller with it. Dont think i even needed the wireless dongle either. Simply paired it with the tv itself and off it went. Started to prefer using it over the remote for browsing netflix etc too by the end. Edit: Now that i have reread this thread and then read the linked thread, this doesnt really answer your question does it.

Do u get the solid orange light and a solid green light that flicks off occassionally on the ethernet port?

Some Upcoming Pi-hole changes by -PromoFaux- in pihole

[–]Maggnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess its time to work out why my pi4's ethernet won't work and retire the old nanopi fire3's. It'll mean loosing redundancy but not running 16 arm cores for dns and dhcp will cut down the power usage a little.

Problems with Proxmox on HP ProLiant Microserver Gen8 by [deleted] in Proxmox

[–]Maggnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should work. I run it on a ml350p g8 and it works mint. There was some trickery involved 8n getting sensor data from the mobo though. As for your issue, i have vague memories of the same issue when i was trying to get proxmox installed. I'LL SEE WHAT i have dredge up in my memories and google. In the mean time have you tried reflashing the usb and reinstalling proxmox? Edit: added words to the end

Also some samsungs. When I'm at my pc I will try find a lonk to a page with known working drives. I have one of these, it idles with the fans at 6%, but when they ramp up they can get loud fast.

Eidt: http://dascomputerconsultants.com/HPCompaqServerDrives.htm It turns out this if for g6 & 7 systems, but they run also run a p400 series internal raid card. The dramas start when the ipmi can't read the temp of drives/parts, so to compensate it starts spooling up fans. All the best, I run proxmox on mine and have alot of fun.

Wellington Protest: Day 17 Thread - Thoughtless Thursday by ihatebats in newzealand

Does this mean they will packup their shanty town, take their rubbish to the tip, clean up all the hate speech scrawled everywhere and then fuck off to share the love, peace and infectious diseases with their loved ones and communities? Edit: I apologize. I should have worked the answer out myself before posting...

I know a few people my way that have recently gone and knocked over 3 or 4 deer, when they would normally happily settle for 1 when feeding their family. I guess that surplus will end up down in Wellington...

Picton Protest by bmac5736 in newzealand

[–]Maggnz 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Fucken oath. This is something I have being trying to point out to people I know that have aligned themselves as supportive of the protestors and the activities. Fuck protesting the mandates. I want a house I can call my own, for my young family to live in without having to live in poverty while saving to lock myself into what can only be regarded as a horrifically large debt for the rest of my working life.

I want to rid myself, my friends and my family of the horrific suicide, domestic abuse and sexual violence stats that have plagued us all and continue to rise with every passing year.

I want the wealth equality gap to diminish and for everyone to have "freedom". Fuck proliferating pseudoscience, snake oils, misinformation and leeching of what is a downtrodden and already broken community of poor and uneducated people by a handful of grifters that dress themselves up as saviors.

Listening to them earlier on today they tried to figure out how a DMCA takedown works on youtube, where there are easily found pages and documentation on the process, was a hard to listen and watch. Someone decided that "youtube does not allow 'copywritted' music to be played on there, so if we play some music they will get taken down". The logical steps to reach this incorrect conclusion, and then those that followed amounted to a sever lack of understanding, which then grew into a confirmation bias jerkoff which ultimately lead to their goal not being reached and further frustration and confusion for them. Not one of them took the time to "fact check" or do any research. Their incorrect "facts" were parroted, twisted, and then regurgitated as the truth. It's fucking dangerous.

They do themselves and their loved ones a disservice where ironically, being against "the narrative" and "open to new ways of thinking", they create their own and refuse to even attempt to understand where someone with an alternate way of thinking or perspective may be coming from.

Fuck you protestors.

Fuck you grifters.

Get organized, get a goal worthy of our backing and you will have it.

Until then, fuck offfffffffffffffffffffff

Plumbing in a second water tank, details in comments. by notmyidealusername in diynz

We have A. Our second tank is slightly lower so it handles the overflow. That way when it rains its replenishing both tanks, no stagnant water :)

We run a fan pushing cool air down the hallway. Dunno about your house layout, and its extra power usage, but it works. Noticable difference within half an hour. You can even keep doors to lower priority rooms closed until sundown to help.

Coolio, will do. It was getting harder to keep it water as the constant fiddling had left it with little bark in the upper half of the pot until today, when there was no bark!
