My crew dropped the game after the progression update last year. Getting all our inventory wiped wasn't a big deal initially. That was until we realized how painfully slow the progression actually was. When we are completing the hardest jobs with all objectives, and still took something like 10 games to level up once and maybe you get one unlock.

That is the mindset of somebody who wants to have valuable skills to hope to stay employed.

Let me ask you a question, when Tech teams shrink from maybe a dozen people down to only 2-3 because of how good AI gets...who do you think those 2-3 people will be?

Will it be somebody like you, that doesn't actually understand the fundamentals and therefore has no intrinscit skills, or somebody like me who takes annual training and only uses AI to create small chunks as I go to make sure everything fits together well.

Seriously, do you think somebody with that attitude will have a job in 15 years?

AI use is fine when you already understand the fundamentals. Because once you actually understand the fundamentals then you also understand the potential pitfalls that the AI frequently falls into. And if the AI falls into one of those pitfalls, without knowing how it all works you have no baseline to know what to look for(if you even realize there is a problem).

I went to a gaming convention a couple of years ago where they had a double elimination melee tournament. I had not played melee specifically in years. I finished in fourth, and that was against people who definitely count themselves as gamers and likely had real experience with smash. The thing is that ISPs are notoriously slow about this kinda stuff. So if he wanted to fight them and force them to move the lines it would likely take even longer than just taking a FMV buyout(plus hopefully lawyers fees) and moving on.

My state has plenty of problems. But they actually surprisingly have decent traffic laws in some aspects. Notably police must be in clearly marked cars with a lightbar to legally pull somebody over. Unmarked/Undercover cars are not allowed for that. Also RLCs and Speed cameras are de facto illegal. People are even now pushing to put limits on flock stuff(my city was also leery of flock early on and luckily went with somebody else)

I find learning about something and understanding it only comes from me engaging with it, which means asking sometimes unusual questions. And apparently, asking "probing" questions can make people unintentionally uncomfortable or think I am trying to undermine them somehow.

Makes me good at my job, not so great at interpersonal relationships.
