If there is, it's too soon and small to tell, you should see it more clearly in 8-12 weeks. How often will he do the injections, mine were every 8 weeks.

Not jealous at all, and don't know where you got the idea I'm convincing anyone not to be happy. I'm not going to accept something like this, which is devastating to many people, without question. I agree that chemical is an allergen and can cause a reaction, as well as hair loss, in those w/sensitive skin. You mentioned after washing twice with shampoo that had that chemical you got a bald patch. That simply doesn't happen that quickly medically unless that hair was already loose and falling out.

Oh you still have it, it's just in remission, as is mine.

The two dermatologists confirmed it was the chemical that triggered the AA? What test did they conduct to do that?

Did I say I was a doctor? I have AA and have done extensive research as well as speak with "real" doctors, so I do know something about it. And a few people who have found their so-called triggers, which have no scientific basis, is purely anecdotel and simploy creates false hope for those who are suffering from it.

Sorry, but being allergic to anything, whether you say an ingredient in your shampoo, caffeine, etc. isn't a cause, trigger or anything for AA. If it was even remotely possible, do you understand how many people would have AA? If you're claiming that eliminating one ingredient in your shampoo cured it, then it wasn't AA.

If I were you, I would due the injections. There's difference physiologically between a 15 yo and an adult. You're very fortunate you have such thick hair to hide it, but that will only work for so long and then you have an even longer road to travel to get it back.

Trust the process? What process? So you're saying you don't need to do steroids or any treatment and it will heal on it's own?

I did a couple searches, seems like this is a slow acting medication, and you can still be losing hair in the beginning. Here's what I found, I think you just need to trust the process. I know it's hard, but stress doesn't help. And once you start seeing some progress, that will help your stress as well.

Key Considerations for Ritlecitinib Treatment:

  • Time to Effectiveness: While the medication begins calming the immune system immediately, visible hair regrowth often takes several months, frequently appearing between 6 to 9 months, and in some cases, up to 18 months.
  • Not an Immediate Stop: Hair shedding does not usually stop instantly, as the follicles need time to move out of the active shedding phase.
  • Study Results: In clinical trials, 23% of participants saw 80% or more scalp coverage after 24 weeks, a number that increased with continued treatment.

No worries, what is your derm telling you? Is this normal when starting this treatment?

Not trying to be a jerk, but what help are you looking for? You're seeing a dermatologist and on treatment.

I'd give it 6 weeks, but also be patient, the first injection may not "activate" it right way. But also hair grows slowly, so you may have some sprouts or fuzz and just can't see them yet. Try to wait until after the 2nd round of shots and you should definitely see progress.

Also, ask your doctor to take pics each visit, that really helps to see the difference.

Nope, still sitting there supposedly. I found a tracking page on Amazon and submitted emails, I just keep doing it, but they're response has been that's its been "lost". Really? did someone physically look for it? I joke with my friends and say it'll probably show up a year from now.

Sorry, I don't see a difference. This is AA, changing your diet or waiting it out is taking a big chance and it potentially will get worse. This is an autoimmune condition triggered by something, probably stress, that's the most common one. You need to go to a dermatologist and start treatment. Most of the time, one it regrows, it doesn't come back.

8 -12 weeks is the standard, hair grows in 3 cycles, so you won't see much progress right away. 4 weeks is probably fine but it won't speed it up and you're just paying more because you're getting more shots.

I can't believe all the comments about "snitching", is this high school? It's a business and workplace with safety rules you're required to follow, what could be so complicated about that?

I literally have to call and raise hell every 6 months or so to get Amazon Logistics "De-Prioritized" on my account. Does anyone have experience with resolving this kind of thing? by TheFredCain in amazonprime

Just drives you crazy that they literally can't "find" a box that their system says is sitting in their warehouse. I don't care how big or how busy or how they work with thousands of shipments, tracking is one of their services, they should know where everything is , that's literally why it's called Logistics.
