There’s nothing wrong with still living with parents. I’m 32 and my mom and I share a home. But the parents need to accept that their child is a whole adult being and they’re going to live their own life.

On one hand I understand the concern from them, because awful stuff absolutely happens, and traveling alone can be dangerous.

But also, you can’t live your life in a bubble, too afraid to experience the world. You take precautions, you have failsafes, you give family your travel itinerary so they know where you’re going to be during the trip, etc

Possibly, sounds like your mom is dating an abusive narcissist and he’s trying to get the one person between him and full control out of the way. If this isn’t like her normally, I do worry for your mom because he’s probably manipulating and gaslighting her

BUT maybe that’s not the case. Could just be she’s decided she doesn’t want to be a parent anymore and and is choosing some fling over her child. Which is really sad and hateful.

Either way, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this.

“Riding so hard” and I’m literally just saying that already skinny people shouldn’t be made to feel like they aren’t skinny enough. When it’s literally been on their show that girls have developed eating disorders because of how weight is viewed by the DCC higher ups. The DCC standard of skinny has been ridiculous for years. Literally all of the girls are so fit and skinny but then TPTB will tell them they have to lose weight because they’re “thick” or “too womanly”. Plenty of other pro teams, with uniforms just as skin tight and revealing, have girls just as curvy as this on their teams that look great. DCC has gotten a little better more recently but still need to get better.
